WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has erupted in outrage after CBS’ '60 Minutes' earned an Emmy nomination for its interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Taking to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump railed against what he labeled a “Fake News Puff Piece,” calling the Emmy recognition a “slap in the face to to anyone who believes in TRUTH and Honest Journalism,” reports The Daily Beast.

The '60 Minutes' interview with Harris earned an Emmy nomination in the "Outstanding Edited Interview" category, outraging critics, and Trump himself.

Trump blasts ‘60 Minutes’ Emmy nod, accuses CBS of election meddling and media corruption

Taking aim at what he called the “totally discredited Emmys,” he questioned, “Did 60 Minutes and its Corporate Parents apply to get an Emmy for an illegally falsified interview, or did other Fake Outlets nominate them for this dubious ‘honor’?

“These antics are why the American People have no trust in the Press, and demand that the Media, very much including 60 Minutes, CBS, and its owners, be held responsible for their corruption and lies, which is exactly what we are doing in Court!” Trump wrote.

Trump's criticism centers around 'Face the Nation' airing one segment of Harris' response on CBS ahead of showing a different part of the same answer during the following day’s broadcast.

While CBS maintains there was no deceptive editing involved, its parent company, Paramount Global, has reportedly explored a settlement likely in an effort to smooth the path for its potential merger with Skydance.

On May 7, Wednesday, Trump blasted the segment as an “Election Interfering interview,” criticizing its airing on CBS right before Election Day and while early voting was well underway.

He went on to accuse the network of deliberately altering Harris’ responses, claiming CBS had “unlawfully fixed, manipulated, and doctored throughout by CBS, in order to try and make Kamala appear at least somewhat coherent.”

He accused '60 Minutes', CBS, and parent company Paramount of deliberately withholding the full transcript from the public until after the November 2024 election.

Though the network eventually published the uncut version this February, Trump insisted the interview was nothing more than “fake, corrupt, anti-Trump propaganda.”

His comments followed harsh criticism from his communications chief, who also took aim at the Emmys for recognizing the segment.

Steven Cheung took a jab at the Emmy nomination during his interview with Fox News Digital, saying, “Of course it’s nominated for best editing because it takes some serious talent to edit Kamala’s answer into something that’s coherent and understandable, which in the end they still failed to do.”

President Donald Trump reignited his long-running feud with the media after taking aim at the Emmys for nominating a controversial '60 Minutes' episode, accusing the program of being “propaganda” rather than journalism.

The move triggered an avalanche of online reactions and renewed the debate over media bias and political influence in awards culture.

Social media lit up with polarized commentary.

“Revoke their license, this isn't reportage, this is propaganda,” a user wrote, while another added, “To be honest I trust CNN more than Trump and his administration. Every day I find lies in Trump talks and messages.”

Another user commented, “He is still mad at what Fox does everyday for him,” while one wrote, “It’s why they’ve lost credibility.”

Others criticized saying, “They applied for an Emmy to try and give cover for that propaganda piece.”

“That was a 60 min joke,” another user wrote.
