Trump reveals one word Melania uses to address him
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: President Donald Trump gave supporters a glimpse into his relationship with Melania Trump during a rally on Wednesday, revealing the one formal word she uses when speaking to him.
The president, who has been married to Melania for 21 years, shared the detail while discussing her correction of his pronunciation of the word “vegan.”
Trump remarked during his speech in San Antonio, where he was campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton.
Trump seems be confused while telling a story about Melania: "You know, my wife told me, 'Sir, its not vaygun, it's vegan..." He said, 'it's vegan!'... Melania says hello" https://t.co/nN1begwn3Z

Donald Trump reveals how Melania Trump addresses him
Trump told the Texas crowd that Melania often begins her requests by calling him “sir.” He then recalled an exchange in which she corrected the way he pronounced “vegan.”
“My wife told me ‘sir, you have to do me a favor — it's not vay-gan, it's vee-gan,” Trump said.
Trump later brought Melania into the conversation again while discussing James Talarico, the Democratic state representative running against Paxton. “Now he says he loves meat, but he's a vegan — see, Melania? I got that right,” Trump said from the stage.
James Talarico pushes back on Donald Trump’s vegan claims with barbecue remark
The anecdote came as Trump attacked Talarico over claims about his diet. Trump said Talarico secretly follows a vegan lifestyle despite saying that he eats meat.
Talarico has repeatedly denied that he avoids animal products.
The Republican criticism stems from comments he made to the Texas Humane Legislation Network, where he described reducing meat consumption as “existential” to fighting climate change.
He did not say that he personally avoids meat.
Talarico responded by pushing back on the criticism, saying he has “been eating barbecue since before Ken Paxton's first indictment.”
Donald Trump brings Melania into Texas Senate fight
Trump’s comments about Melania came during a rally focused largely on the Texas Senate contest between Paxton and Talarico.
The San Antonio appearance marked Trump’s fourth trip to Texas in six weeks as he campaigned for Paxton.
The president has been using his appearances in the state to support the Republican candidate as the race draws attention. Recent polling cited in the material shows Talarico ahead of Paxton.
A Siena College survey put the Democrat at 51 percent compared with Paxton’s 45 percent, while a Fox News poll showed Talarico leading 51 percent to 49 percent.
The race has also attracted attention because of what a Talarico victory would mean for Texas Democrats. If he wins, he would become the first Democrat to win statewide office in Texas since Ann Richards became governor in 1990.
The last Democrat to win a Senate seat in the state was Lloyd Bentsen in 1988.
