WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump mused about a potential "Biden comeback" as he took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris for a recent dip in her polling numbers in a Truth Social tirade.

The GOP nominee also claimed that her poll numbers are crashing due to her "Marxist" and liberal tendencies.

Donald Trump suggests a Joe Biden comeback as Kamala Harris' poll numbers drop

Taking to Truth Social on Monday, September 9, Donald Trump wrote, "Comrade Kamala Harris goes to an ultra Left Wing, Trump Hating, spice shop, which I hear has terrible, overpriced product, and calls for 'unity.'"

The former president was possibly referring to Harris' recent visit to Penzeys Spices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Wisconsin-based spice retailer is known for criticizing Republicans and their policies.

Following the vice president's visit, Trump supporters began calling for a boycott and flooded its Yelp page with one-star ratings.

Trump went on to write, "As people begin to realize that she is a Marxist, FAR MORE LIBERAL than Crazy Bernie Sanders, or even Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren, her poll numbers are beginning to crash. Who are they going to put in next? How about a Biden comeback?"

The most recent New York Times and Siena College poll shows Harris trailing Trump by one point, which falls within the margin of error. Moreover, election analyst Nate Silver updated his forecast, giving Trump a 64.4 percent chance of victory.

The recent results are a minor setback to Harris' momentum, which had been building since she succeeded Joe Biden as the Democratic party's prospective nominee, as per The Hill.

Harris continues to perform well in the polls, as indicated by the Decision Desk HQ/The Hill national polling average. It shows Harris leading Trump by 3.2 percentage points nationally, 49.4 percent to 46.2 percent.

Trump's attempt to portray Harris as a far-left candidate comes ahead of the Tuesday debate, an event where the candidates will confront each other in what is one of the most consequential moments of the race to date.

After launching her presidential campaign, Harris has shifted toward a centrist stance on various issues, notably with her latest capital gains tax proposal, aiming to appeal to moderate swing voters in crucial battleground states.

Internet mocks Donald Trump as he floats a Joe Biden comeback

Soon after Donald Trump's tirade over Kamala Harris' falling poll numbers gained traction, netizens quickly put him in his place

One wrote, "That ain't happening Mr. Trump. That's just wishful thinking! Maybe this is a sign that he's getting worried about the debate tomorrow." Another mocked, "He seems to be spinning out in advance of the debate."

"Hilarious! Trump still hasn’t come to terms with Harris taking over. He’d better get his act together soon — time is running out," expressed a person.

Someone else remarked, "First he wanted Biden out. Biden gave him what he wanted. Now Trump doesn't know what to do about a smart woman and he hates being called old now, so he wants Biden back."

One more wrote, "He said the same thing a few weeks ago. Did he forget when it didn't happen?" Another person simply stated, "Pining for the past. Hoping against hope. Inability to let go of dreams. All telling symptoms."

An individual opined, "That old man knows he's going to lose the election. Now, he's just going to use incompetency as a defense to his criminal charges."
