ATLANTA, GEORGIA: President Donald Trump reignited his long-running 2020 election fraud claims after posting that FBI agents had seized roughly 700 ballot boxes from the Fulton County election office in Georgia.

Trump shared the update on Truth Social on Wednesday, January 28, framing the alleged seizure as a major development tied to the 2020 vote. His post followed reports that federal agents executed a search warrant at the Fulton County elections office near Atlanta, drawing immediate attention from his supporters online.

Trump portrayed the FBI’s actions as validation of claims he has repeatedly made about irregularities in the election.

Trump shares update on search warrant at Fulton County elections office

On Truth Social, Trump reposted a message from political commentator and content creator David Khait, who claimed that FBI agents had completed their search and departed the Fulton County elections office with approximately 700 ballot boxes from the 2020 election.

“FBI agents have finished executing their warrant at the Fulton County elections office and have now officially departed with roughly 700 2020 election ballot boxes,” Khait wrote.

Trump also shared a video posted by Khait from outside the elections office. In the footage, Khait questioned a man identified as Jason about activity taking place nearby.

“Random truck boxes, but Jason explained to us what is currently happening 10 feet away from us,” Khait said in the video.

Jason responded, “This is a beautiful day. We've been trying to get these ballots. Everything from 2020 is pretty much since 2020. Then we were told the timing again and everything was fine. Don’t worry about it. Why are you investigating 2020?”

He went on to suggest the materials were being transported out of state, claiming the trucks were headed to Virginia and that it was time to uncover what happened in 2020.

Khait later added that the FBI had seized “essentially 700 boxes of everything” before officially leaving the site, calling the moment “a beautiful day” and urging that the ballots be monitored closely during transport.

After Trump reposted the content, Khait publicly thanked the president for amplifying his claims.

FBI activity tied to broader 2020 election claims

The reported search came as Trump has continued to spotlight Georgia as a focal point of his 2020 election allegations. The state has remained central to his narrative since the election, when he publicly pressured state officials to revisit vote totals.

The FBI, now led by Director Kash Patel, has worked closely with the Justice Department on matters connected to Trump’s assertions that the 2020 race was mishandled. Since taking office, Patel has emphasized reviewing past election-related controversies.

Trump recently warned that unnamed individuals would face prosecution over actions related to the 2020 election, though he did not identify specific targets.

The federal activity followed the collapse of a state case against Trump in Georgia. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had charged Trump and 18 others over alleged efforts to overturn the election results. That case was dismissed in November after a court ruled Willis could not proceed due to an “appearance of impropriety” stemming from a romantic relationship with a prosecutor she had appointed.
