WASHINGTON, DC: President Trump told reporters on Friday, March 13, that his plans for ending the Iran war may not be the same as those of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

While acknowledging potential differences, Trump emphasized that Netanyahu recognizes "there’s never been a power like the power of the United States."

Trump admits his war objectives might be 'a little different'

When a reporter asked if he and Prime Minister Netanyahu wanted the same outcome to end the fighting, Trump was honest about their potential differences.

He suggested that, since they lead different nations, they don't always see eye-to-eye on every detail.

"Well, I think they might be a little different, I guess, you know, different countries than we are," Trump said.

However, he made sure to mention that the Israeli Prime Minister still respects American influence. "But he will tell you there’s never been a power like the power of the United States," he added.

Trump using rebuilt military power for peace

During his conversation with reporters, Trump also discussed how he spent his first term in office in strengthening the US military.

He compared the state of the military to other issues like the border and the wall, saying he had to "rebuild" everything from scratch.

"I built our military in my first term, continued to do so, but I built our military and rebuilt it," Trump explained.

"It was in bad shape, just like the walls, just like the border, just like everything else. I got it—it was all in bad shape, but I rebuilt the military in my first term and we’re using it in this term to, you know, grow for the sake of good, for the sake of peace."

Trump predicts lower energy prices soon

President Trump also announced that the US Navy would soon begin escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz to protect them from Iranian attacks.

This move comes as the administration seeks ways to ease high oil prices driven by the ongoing conflict.

When reporters asked when escorts would begin, Trump replied, "It will happen soon."

He further expressed confidence that energy costs would fall once the conflict stabilizes, stating, "I think you're going to see a very big decrease in the price of gasoline, gas, anything having to do with energy, as soon as this is over."
