Donald Trump attends Steelers game against Jets

Donald Trump's post came just before he appeared at the Steelers' game against the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, October 20.

Trump, who had just worked at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, was spotted in a suite at Acrisure Stadium after arriving during the first quarter of the nationally televised game, as per the New York Post.

The 45th President greeted football fans from the suite amid chants of "USA," as seen in social media footage shared by a campaign staffer.

“Thank you to the Steelers fans for the great reception tonight,” Trump posted on Truth Social after the game. “November 5th will be the most important in the history of our Country! MAGA 2024!!!”

Over the weekend, the presidential candidate held a rally featuring former Steeler stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, who both endorsed the GOP nominee.

Bold protester disrupts Steelers game with political message

Pennsylvania, home to the Steelers, is a pivotal swing state for Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris in their quest for the necessary 270 electoral votes, and elements of the election spilled over into the game.

During the Steelers' 37-15 victory, a woman sprinted onto the field in the third quarter holding a sign that read, “Trump secure border” and “Kamala open border,” as seen in footage circulating online.

Security and authorities swiftly escorted the woman off the field.

The Republican nominee also has ties to the Jets, as the team's owner, Woody Johnson, was the US ambassador to the United Kingdom during Trump's initial term in the Oval Office.

A spokesperson for the Steelers clarified on Sunday that Trump was a guest of a suite holder, not of the team itself. After Sunday’s win, the Steelers improved their record to 5-2, while the Jets fell to a disappointing 2-5.
