WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump continues to keep the spotlight on the White House renovation. The topic, which has been under discussion for some time, has resurfaced with his latest update. On Truth Social, Friday, December 26, he shared three images showcasing the new flooring in the Palm Room.
The White House renovation has frequently made headlines and sparked considerable debate. Trump has been actively involved in the project, with particular attention focused on the East Wing, which has become the most talked-about section of the renovation.
Trump unveils stunning renovation of the White House's Palm Room
Trump has unveiled major updates to the Palm Room at the White House, showcasing a striking new look. Once designed with a garden-like ambience during Kennedy’s era, the space featured potted palms, green benches, and grey tiled floors.
The 2025 renovation replaced these elements with bright white marble flooring, crystal chandeliers, and mirrored panels, giving the room a sleek and posh feel. He shared those images with a caption, "The renovated Palm Room!"
In addition to the White House updates, Trump shared details about the marble being used at the Trump Kennedy Center, posting, "Potential Marble armrests for the seating at The Trump Kennedy Center. Unlike anything ever done or seen before!"
East Wing and outdoor spaces of White House get upgrade
The White House has undergone a series of striking changes under Trump’s renovation plans. The back doors of the Palm Room now open into a completely redesigned Rose Garden, which he has renamed “the Rose Garden Club at the White House.”
Much of the original Kennedy-era lawn has been replaced with a concrete-like patio, and the space now features tables with yellow-and-white striped umbrellas similar to the ones at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, as per PEOPLE.
The East Wing has been a major focus of the renovations. Known for its historic galleries and reception areas, the wing has been updated with modern lighting and redesigned spaces that feel more open and luxurious. The work also includes the construction of a massive 90,000-square-foot ballroom atop the East Wing.
The main ballroom, part of this section, has been brightened and given decorative touches that blend contemporary style with the building’s classic architecture.
Elsewhere, the White House has added Trump-themed artwork and merchandise, and the Oval Office now includes furniture and decor accented in gold, reflecting a bold and highly personalized aesthetic.
