WASHINGTON, DC: Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance did not sit well with President Donald Trump.

He reacted immediately after the show, criticizing it in a lengthy Truth Social post and calling the performance “an affront to the greatness of America.”

Trump blasts Bad Bunny halftime show in Truth Social rant

Trump had long opposed the idea of the Puerto Rican rapper performing at the game at Lewi's stadium.

After the show aired, he posted a lengthy message criticizing it, writing, “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!"

"It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence,” Trump wrote.

He then doubled down with another sharp remark.

"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World," he continued.

Trump wrote, "This 'Show' is just a 'slap in the face' to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!"

Broadening his attack to include media, Trump said, "There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD."

Trump’s previous remarks on halftime lineup

This is not the first time Trump has criticized Bad Bunny. He brought up the rapper last year and was firmly against the idea of including him in the halftime show.

In an interview with the New York Post, he said the blockbuster event is “just too far away.”

Trump has also expressed unhappiness with the musical lineup, which features noted critics of him, including Puerto Rican rapper and the rock band Green Day.

“I’m anti-them," said the president, though he added that this wasn’t the reason for skipping the game. "I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible."
