Federal agents arrived at Bolton’s Bethesda, Maryland, home around 7 am in a probe ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel, according to a Trump administration official who spoke with The New York Post.

The New York Times reported, citing senior federal law enforcement officials, that Bolton’s residence is tied to an investigation into whether he leaked sensitive national security information to the media and other parties in an attempt to harm Trump.

“I'm not a fan of John Bolton, he's a real sort of a low life,” Trump added.

Trump continued, criticizing Bolton’s foreign policy record. “He was one of the people that forced Bush to do the ridiculous bombings in the Middle East,” Trump said.

“He's very bad at what he does. Not a smart guy, but he could be a very unpatriotic guy; we're going to find out. I know nothing about it,” Trump added.

Asked if he expected to be briefed on the raid, Trump said that he "probably" would sometime on Friday but preferred not to be informed before operations by the Justice Department.
