WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump pleasantly surprised the visitors by personally greeting them on the first public tour of the White House after taking Office for a second term on Tuesday, February 25, reported The Gateway Pundit.

The tours were customarily closed to the public over the last few weeks during the transition period between former president Joe Biden's administration and that of incumbent Trump.

The recommencement of the tours was announced by First Lady Melania Trump on February 12. Taking to social media, she wrote, "The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark. There is much to learn about the American Presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our Nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House."

Donald Trump's surprise appearance at White House tour

During the inaugural public tour of the White House under the second Donald Trump presidency, the visitors were reportedly gathered in an underground hallway, where they were joined by the POTUS himself.

Trump was greeted with cheers as he walked up to the group and asked if everybody was having a good time.

"It’s nothing like the White House. It doesn’t matter where you go—the biggest people come here, and they all have beautiful offices. But when they walk into the Oval Office, there’s nothing like it. They look, and they… some of them actually start crying," he said.

"Just have a good time. We’re giving you an extra-special tour. You’re the first one of the year, so get an extra-special tour," continued the 78-year-old commander-in-chief, before praising his wife, Melania, for overseeing the set-up of the tour.

"I want to thank you very much for coming. The tour is so great, and they did just such a good job. The first lady worked very hard on making it perfect, and I think you’re going to really love it," he continued.

"I heard you were here, and I said, ‘Let’s stop by and say hello.’ Oh, you’re very smart-looking people, I must say—very smart. Maybe someday you’ll be here as president, right? Somebody in this group has a chance," he quipped before leaving, and the visitors erupted into chants of "USA!"
