WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump called out his predecessor Joe Biden for allegedly using an "autopen" for signing documents during his presidency, in a post on Truth Social on Sunday, March 16.

The post comprised three framed photographs placed side by side. The first and the third are Trump's official portraits from his two terms in the Oval Office, while the middle one is a picture of Biden's rumored autopen. It seemed to suggest that the duties of POTUS under the Biden presidency were shouldered by the machine.

Trump elaborated his point in another post, writing, "The person who was the real President during the Biden years was the person who controlled the Autopen!"

Donald Trump slams Joe Biden over 'autopen' signatures

Donald Trump took aim at Joe Biden, claiming that the former president used an autopen to sign all "important" documents, while speaking with reporters about NATO spending from the Oval Office on Friday, March 14, reported Fox News.

"The man was grossly incompetent. All you have to do is take a look, he signs by autopen. Who was signing all this stuff by autopen? Who would think to sign important documents by autopen?" asked the incumbent.

"These are major documents you're signing, you're proud to sign, yet you have your signature on something, and in 300 years, they say ‘Oh look.’ Can you imagine everything was (signed) by autopen? Almost everything. Nobody has ever heard of such a thing. It should have never happened," he continued.

Trump's outburst came in light of a new report published by the Oversight Project of the right-wing Heritage Foundation, which leveled the autopen allegation against Biden and sparked renewed concern about his mental acuity while occupying the top office in the country.

"We gathered every document we could find with Biden's signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year. Here is the autopen signature," the group claimed on X, citing photographs as examples.
