Trump unveils Palm Room with 'magnificent' marble floor in lobby leading to Oval Office

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump revealed photos of the White House's latest renovation, a new lobby leading to his Oval Office. The space, now dubbed the "Palm Room," replaces the old gray-tiled foyer with bright white marble and sparkling chandeliers
Taking to social media, he highlighted the marble floor, calling it “magnificent.”

The refurbished Palm Room now features large, bright white chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a gleaming white marble floor, replacing the old gray tiles.
The doors lead to the Rose Garden outside, while inside the marbled floor guides visitors to the Oval Office. Previously, the room had soft lighting, potted plants, and benches on a gray tiled floor.
The back doors now open to the redesigned Rose Garden, which Trump recently rebranded as "The Rose Garden Club at the White House." Trump ordered the lawn paved over, saying it was always “soaking wet” and difficult for “the women with the high heels."

Trump ordered the Rose Garden to be completely paved over after complaining that the lawn was always “soaking wet” and made it difficult for “the women with the high heels.”
“New lobby leading to Oval Office — Magnificent marble floor, compliments of President Donald J. Trump!” he wrote on Truth Social.
White House renovations since second term

These changes are part of ongoing renovations since Trump’s second term. On September 24, he shared photos of the new “Presidential Walk of Fame” on the West Wing Colonnade, featuring portraits of all former U.S. presidents in golden frames.
Instead of displaying the portrait of predecessor, Joe Biden, Trump placed the image of Biden’s autopen signature in the frame. Earlier this year, Trump added new artworks of himself in the White House, including a painting with his fist raised after last year’s attempted assassination in Pennsylvania.
The Oval Office also received upgrades, with photos of all U.S. presidents and golden accents added to the fireplace, doorways, and walls. Two massive flagpoles were installed in June on the North and South lawns.
$200 million White House ballroom
Construction began this month on a $200 million ballroom, began earlier this month and is expected to be ready when Trump's tenure ends in 2029.
This project will be funded by private companies and individuals, and in exchange for their contribution, their names will be permanently etched inside the White House.
There have also been discussions about listing the donors’ names on a website, though no final decision has been made. The project is estimated to cost between $200 and $250 million, and multiple companies have pledged $5 million or more.
