WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump issued a dramatic warning to Iran during a phone conversation with Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst on Sunday, April 19, saying Tehran must accept a pending agreement or face devastating military action.

Yingst said Trump told him Iran is on its “last chance,” adding that if leaders refuse to sign, “the whole country is getting blown up.”

Reporting details of the call on Fox News, Yingst said he spoke with Trump for around 20 minutes and the president left no ambiguity about what could happen next.

“I just spoke with President Trump for about 20 minutes and he told me if Iran does not sign this deal, the whole country is getting blown up,” Yingst said on air.

He added that Trump specifically warned Iran’s infrastructure would be targeted if diplomacy fails.

“He went on to say that bridges and power plants will be targeted if Iran does not sign this agreement,” Yingst reported.

According to the correspondent, Trump said senior envoys were being dispatched to Islamabad for talks beginning Tuesday and possibly continuing into Wednesday in an effort to “get this agreement across the finish line.”

Yingst also said Trump described the proposed arrangement as straightforward, calling it “a very simple deal,” while stressing this was “the last chance for the Iranians.”

Trump lays focus on Hormuz and uranium

Yingst said the president outlined several key conditions tied to the negotiations.

Among them were keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, ending maritime threats, and resolving the issue of enriched uranium.

“The deal on the table is to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, to ensure that the Iranians do not have this highly enriched uranium,” Yingst said while summarizing Trump’s position.

The Fox correspondent added that Trump told him the United States was fully prepared for renewed conflict if the diplomatic push collapses.

Yingst further reported that Trump planned to send a formal letter to Iranian leaders laying out what is at risk if they reject the deal.

Trump assures Iran deal 'one way or another'

The warning came after Trump used public remarks earlier Sunday to increase pressure on Tehran.

In a brief call with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Trump said peace would happen “one way or another. The nice way or the hard way.”

He later posted on Truth Social accusing Iran of violating the ceasefire after firing on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

In that post, Trump repeated the threat relayed by Yingst, saying if Iran refused the proposed agreement, the United States would strike “every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.”
