MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Minnesota on Tuesday, January 13, in a Truth Social post as protests intensified following the fatal shooting of Renee Good during an ICE operation.

In a post aimed directly at state and local leaders, Trump declared in all caps that “THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING.”

The message came as demonstrations spread across the Twin Cities over the death of the 37-year-old mother, who was shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent last week. Trump used the post to defend the federal crackdown and argue that the operation is necessary to restore public safety.

Trump defends ICE's Minnesota crackdown

Trump framed the ICE surge as a response to what he described as widespread criminal activity in the state.

“Do the people of Minnesota really want to live in a community in which there are thousands of already convicted murderers, drug dealers and addicts, rapists… and other deadly criminals too dangerous to even mention,” Trump wrote.

He described federal agents as “patriots” whose mission is to “remove them from your neighborhood and send them back to the prisons and mental institutions from where they came.” The President attributed the presence of such individuals to what he called “Sleepy Joe Biden’s HORRIBLE Open Border’s Policy,” adding, “Every place we go, crime comes down.”

Trump blames Democrats for state's unrest

Trump compared the Minnesota operation to prior federal actions in Chicago, asserting that enforcement there produced results despite opposition from Democratic officials.

“In Chicago, despite a weak and incompetent Governor and Mayor fighting us all the way, a big improvement was made. Thousands of Criminals were removed!” he wrote.

He then accused Minnesota Democrats of exploiting unrest to deflect from alleged corruption. “Minnesota Democrats love the unrest that anarchists and professional agitators are causing because it gets the spotlight off of the 19 Billion Dollars that was stolen by really bad and deranged people,” Trump claimed.

The post ended with a final warning: “FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!”

Lawsuit claims 'federal invasion' occurring

The President’s message followed legal action filed on Monday by the state of Minnesota and the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The suit challenges the expanded federal presence, arguing that the surge of immigration agents amounts to “a federal invasion.”

Shooting by ICE agent justified as self-defense

The dispute centers on the death of Renee Good, who was shot while inside her vehicle during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. Authorities have said she drove her car toward an agent after blocking a roadway.

The Trump administration has maintained that the officer acted in self-defense. Federal officials have characterized Good as a “domestic te***rist,” alleging she attempted to strike the agent with her vehicle. That description has been rejected by local leaders and family members and has further fueled protests against ICE across Minnesota.
