Trump was 'really f**king pissed' over Don Jr's extra-marital affair with Aubrey O'Day, new book claims
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: In a candid revelation, Donald Trump has finally addressed the affair between his son, Donald Trump Jr, and former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day.
Speaking to author Ramin Setoodeh for the recent tell-all book 'Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,' the ex-president admitted he was aware of the relationship.
"When I asked Trump about O'Day's affair with Don Jr, he took a long pause. 'I had heard that, actually,' he said, blinking. 'No, I had heard that.' When asked if he knew that O'Day had written a song about Don Jr, Trump responded, 'I hadn't heard the song. But I had heard that,' confirming once again his awareness of the affair," the book excerpt reads, per Ok! News.
Donald Trump's fury over son's infidelity
Reports indicate that Trump was furious about his son's infidelity, especially since Trump Jr was still married to Vanessa Trump at the time. Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer, had earlier shared on his podcast 'Mea Culpa' that the former president's anger was palpable.
"Your father is really f**king pissed," Cohen recalled telling Trump Jr.
"I sat down with Don and said, 'I understand the attraction [to O'Day], I understand it, but it’s got to stop, and you have to make this right with [wife] Vanessa. You know I am a fan of Vanessa’s, you’ve got to make it right with her because if you don’t, your father is going to throw you’re ass out of here. And I said, 'Don, I don’t know what the f**k you’re capable of doing,' to which Don went crazy. ‘Only me! It’s always me!’"
Cohen also revealed that Trump Jr felt unfairly singled out compared to his siblings.
"He goes, ‘I am always held to a different standard. Eric [Trump] had sex with some Miss Universe that was on Celebrity Apprentice — on the table and Ivanka [Trump] has her own issues regarding sexuality and so on and he went on and on...' I said, 'Your dad called me in to talk about you and Aubrey, so let’s talk about you and Aubrey. So, what are you going to do? Your dad is f**king serious. You won’t even have the ability to get into the building and pack your s**t up. You better start thinking twice,'" the former lawyer shared.
