Aubrey O'Day knew things were 'really bad' when Diddy offered her publishing rights 'to stay silent'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Aubrey O’Day seem to know there's more than meets the eye when it comes to Diddy.
The former Danity Kane singer, who worked with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records in the 2000s, shared recently that she knew something was gravely wrong with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs when artists from the label were offered their publishing rights.

The 40-year-old songstress opened up about the situation in the documentary ‘TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy’, where she said the embattled record producer tried to silence the artists by offering them publishing deals, per OK! Magazine.
O’Day shared, “I received the publishing deal. I know what it says. I know how much money it was giving me,” before adding, “$300.30, for a full release of all claims against Diddy and many other players.”
The ‘Second Call’ artist insinuated further that the move aimed to silence the artists, and said, “I think he was probably making moves to keep as many people quiet as possible.”
“When I went to look at the publishing deal it said anything but I’m being made whole financially again,” O’Day continued.
She emphasized that the deal coerced them to maintain their silence about Diddy. “In fact, it asked me to not have access to my story and my experience anymore, it asked me specifically to stay silent and never speak poorly about a human,” shared the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer.
“So then I realized, something really bad is coming,” concluded the crooner.
Diddy has long been embroiled in legal issues after Homeland Securities raided two of his mansions in Los Angeles and Florida in a sex trafficking probe after several women accused the ‘Coming Home’ rapper of sexual misconduct.
Following the raid, a federal representative shared a statement on the probe, saying, "Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available.”
Nevertheless, a source close to Diddy refuted O’Day’s claim and shared a statement with Us Weekly regarding the NDA.
The source revealed, “Last year, when he reassigned his portion of the publishing to Bad Boy artists, an unprecedented move within the industry and which he did not have to do, not all artists signed an NDA, contrary to what she claims.”
Aubrey O’Day reacted to Homeland Security raids on Diddy's homes
This is, however, not the first time that O’Day shared her opinion on the legal woes of Diddy.
A day after the raids, the former girls band member wrote on her Instagram Story, "What you sow, you shall reap. I pray this emboldens all of US victims to finally speak on what we have endured," alongside the screenshot of an article about the raid, per People.
She also weighed on the speculation that Diddy was flying out from the country, saying, "There is no ‘too soon’ on this one, just ‘too late,'" before adding, "You know it’s bad when you [are] sprinting to Barbuda.”
"Respectfully, I’ve been telling y’all this for two decades and did anyone listen? No,” concluded the singer.
