GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN: With just six days until November 5, the day after President Joe Biden's controversial remark about Donald Trump's supporters, the former president addressed thousands of supporters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, wearing a high-visibility vest typically associated with garbage workers.

Trump characterized his arrival at the rally in a dump truck while wearing a garbage vest as a spontaneous choice. He humorously noted that the vest was slimming and playfully suggested it could become a staple in his everyday attire.

Donald Trump targets Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in speech

"When they said I’d look thinner, I said in that case, I’ll wear it onstage," Trump joked. "I may never wear a blue jacket again."

He criticized Biden, Democrats, and particularly his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris for "running a campaign of hate, vitriol and retribution."

"This week Kamala has been comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history and now speaking on a call for her campaign last night crooked Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters, he called them ‘garbage'," he added.

Referencing Hillary Clinton's 2016 remarks about "deplorables," he commented on Biden's statement "blows deplorables out of the water."

"My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple: You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans, it's true. You can’t be president if you hate the American people, which I believe they do, and Kamala Harris is not fit to be president of the United States," the 78-year-old ex-president said.

"Kamala and Joe call all of us, and them, even them, ‘garbage.’ I call you the heart and soul of America. You are the heart and soul, you built our country, you built it," he said.

Trump went on to say, "And by the way I want to thank all our sanitation workers all across America because they work hard, they really do work hard and they do an incredible job, and they don’t get the credit they deserve."

Joe Biden called Donald Trump's supporters 'garbage'

The controversy surrounding President Biden's comments emerged the day before Trump's event in Wisconsin. During a campaign call, Biden referred to Trump's supporters as "garbage." This followed comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's controversial act at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.

Hinchcliffe's disparaging comments about Puerto Rico immediately ignited outrage. In response, Biden juxtaposed Hinchcliffe's remarks with the character of Puerto Ricans he knew from Delaware, his birthplace.

"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden, referencing Trump's rally, emphasized his respect for Puerto Rican and Latino communities. He criticized what he described as Trump's demonization of these communities, labeling such actions as "un-American" and contrary to the principles of the United States.
