AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan has revealed that US Vice President Kamala Harris was slated to appear on his popular show, but the opportunity fell through after he declined specific terms set by her team.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Rogan noted that Harris’ team approached him with an offer for an interview on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' set for Tuesday, October 29.

Joe Rogan revealed the conditions Kamala Harris' campaign proposed for the podcast interview, which included the podcaster traveling to the Democratic frontrunner, and a maximum time limit of one hour for the conversation.

“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” stated Rogan, underscoring his desire for an in-depth and comfortable setting.

He expressed his sincere intention to “just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being” and added that he still hopes the interview could take place under different terms.

Donald Trump’s 3-hour interview with Joe Rogan breaks viewing records

The discussions around Kamala Harris’ potential appearance followed Joe Rogan’s highly successful three-hour interview with Republican nominee Donald Trump.

The episode, released on Friday, October 25, attracted an impressive 17 million YouTube views in just 24 hours.

By comparison, Harris’ recent interview on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper, garnered just 685,000 views in its first two weeks online.

The interview with Trump covered a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from UFOs and the assassination files of John F Kennedy to US border issues and the state of food quality in the country.

Viewership skyrocketed within the first 30 minutes, reaching 300,000, and only increased as the interview continued to gain traction.

Kamala Harris’ team urged to consider Joe Rogan's appearance after Donald Trump’s success

The buzz surrounding Donald Trump’s interview led some liberal voices to push for Kamala Harris' sit-down with Joe Rogan, according to Daily Mail.

Despite Harris’ team’s initial outreach, it’s unclear if the Vice President will revisit the opportunity to appear on the show.

During the Trump episode, Rogan expressed his desire to host Harris, saying, “I hope she does because it would be a mess… I would talk to her like a human being. I would try to have a conversation with her and hopefully get to know her as a human being.”

Trump, who traveled to Rogan’s Austin studio for the interview and arrived late to his Michigan rally as a result, shared Rogan’s sentiment, though he suggested that Harris might not fare as well in the open format.
