SOUTH AYRSHIRE, SCOTLAND: President Donald Trump’s security team debuted a heavily armored golf cart approximately 10 months after an assassination attempt, during which a person aimed an SKS-style rifle at the POTUS at his West Palm Beach tee resort.

The president was seen golfing at the Trump Turnberry course in South Ayrshire over the weekend, with a heavily fortified black vehicle following close behind.

Some security experts noted that it bears all the hallmarks of an armor-reinforced golf cart, modeled after the POTUS' official limo — The Beast.

During his weekend golf session, Donald Trump drove his standard white golf cart.

However, the black silhouette of the latest addition to his security fleet, seemingly a modified Polaris Ranger XP, stood out among the other golf carts on the course.

Gary Relf, director of Armoured Car Services, told The Telegraph, "Just looking at the front windscreen, that looks armored."

Relf added that while it’s not easy to identify exactly which elements have been reinforced, companies often remove and modify nearly every interior component with armor plating.

The golf cart’s tinted front windscreen with black banding is a clear giveaway that it’s not just another cart on the course.

"From those photos, that is 100% armored. The windscreen is a giveaway, as are the side panels, doors and the large panel at the rear above the load tray," Relf said.

He added that the customized golf cart seemed to be designed for "defensive, not offensive" purposes, explaining that the tinted windows indicate the addition of robust transparent armor.

"The thicker the transparent armoring, the more tinted the window looks," Relf noted.

He further explained that the modifications were likely intended to keep the cart as secure as possible while remaining light enough to avoid damaging the grass on the course.

The introduction of an armored golf cart shouldn’t come as a surprise, given the assassination attempt on Trump last year.

On September 15, 2024, 59-year-old Ryan Routh aimed a rifle styled after a Soviet-designed semiautomatic at Trump’s security detail as the president walked along the fifth hole at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida.

He was spotted by agents during a sweep of the sixth hole, where he had concealed himself in heavy brush about 400 yards from the POTUS. He fired a shot, then ditched his weapon and fled in a Nissan SUV.
