WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump filled Truth Social with a stream of AI-generated images on Saturday, August 1, including one showing him kissing a golden statue of Jesus Christ.

The unusual posts came alongside messages about the Iran war and domestic politics. The mix of policy statements and increasingly surreal self-images made one particular AI depiction stand out even within Trump's long-running embrace of meme-style content.

Trump mixes policy with AI memes

Trump's posting spree wasn't limited to political messaging. Between comments on foreign policy and legal matters, he shared a series of AI-generated and altered images portraying himself in extraordinary scenarios.

One image showed the president kissing a golden statue of Jesus Christ.

Another recycled image depicted Trump walking alongside officials while an alien in handcuffs was escorted away, reviving a meme that has circulated online before.

He also shared an image blending his face with that of President George Washington, along with another portraying himself during the Revolutionary War.

Trump posted another AI-generated image featuring himself and his youngest son, Barron Trump, suggesting his son was simply a younger version of him.

In a separate post, he also shared a meme claiming he ages "in reverse."

Greenland posts return during spree

The AI images were interspersed with Trump's comments on current political issues.

He used Truth Social to insist the United States was winning the Iran war and also lashed out at Jeanine Pirro after the US attorney in Washington, DC, dropped criminal charges against an Olympian accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Trump also returned to one of his long-standing geopolitical ambitions by again promoting the idea of the United States taking control of Greenland.

Speaking on Friday, Trump said it would be a good bet that the United States would have "operational control" of Greenland before the end of his second term.

"Yeah, you'll be right if you took that. Yeah, you'll be right," Trump said.

He continued, "No, we want to do something very important."

Trump then added, "Greenland's important, you know, from our standpoint, not from their standpoint, but from our standpoint."

He closed the remark by telling supporters, "You should make that bet actually."

Bruce Springsteen also targeted

The posting spree stretched beyond AI-generated images and geopolitics.

Trump also included a swipe at musician Bruce Springsteen, who has been one of his most vocal critics.

The combination of policy claims, attacks on political opponents and critics, renewed comments about Greenland, and a string of AI-generated images, including the depiction of himself as Washington, made Saturday's Truth Social activity one of his most visually unusual posting sprees in recent weeks.
