WASHINGTON, DC: The FBI has released an exclusive statement revealing that Tyler Robinson, now a prime suspect in Charlie Kirk's murder, was driven by a dangerous "obsession" with the conservative activist.
According to the report, Robinson openly expressed his hatred for Kirk’s views and boasted about having the perfect murder plan. The chilling threat became a tragic reality when Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during a public appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10.
Dan Bongino: "He clearly had some obsession with Charlie Kirk ... I think it's fairly obvious to everyone out there, and there's no need to parse words with it, that clearly this was an ideologically motivated attack."

FBI found text message written by Tyler Robinson before shooting

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed that Robinson, 22, had texted someone about his deadly intentions during 'Fox & Friends,' on Monday, September 15.
“He had a text message exchange with another individual in which he claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk — and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for,” Patel explained.
Though the timing of the text remains unclear, Patel said Robinson echoed the same threat in a handwritten note later found at the home he shared with his boyfriend.
“The written note, we believe, did exist, and we have evidence to show what was in that note’. I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.” Patel said, confirming it was written before the shooting. The FBI has not identified the recipient of the text or commented on whether that person could face charges for failing to report the threat.
Patel also described Robinson as a trade-school student with a known fixation on the “furry” subculture and a transitioning male-to-female partner.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told Fox’s America’s Newsroom on Monday, September 15, that evidence clearly points to Tyler Robinson’s disturbing obsession with conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
“I think it’s pretty clear based on the statements of family members, friends and some of the messaging we have on these digital footprints left behind that [Robinson] clearly had some obsession with Charlie Kirk,” Bongino said.
He added, "Charlie Kirk is obviously a conservative commentator. I think it’s fairly obvious to everyone out there, and there’s no need to parse words with it, that clearly this was an ideologically motivated attack."
Kash Patel confirms handwritten note is linked to Tyler Robinson

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed that investigators have confirmed the contents of a handwritten note linked to the suspect, despite Robinson’s attempts to destroy it.
“We have since learned that the note, even though it has been destroyed, we have found forensic evidence of the note, and we have confirmed what that note says,” Patel stated.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino pointed to several warning signs that preceded the attack. “There were people in his network, friends and family who had stated that he had become more political, that he had become at some parts, as I believe some of his co-workers had stated, that he had kind of detached himself when the topic of politics came up and walked away from them,” Bongino explained.
Bongino also declared taht the data collected by the FBI showed that Robinson's targert, "was obviously going to be Charlie [Kirk] and that people knew in advance."
FBI discloses forensic evidence tying Tyler Robinson to shooting

Investigators have also uncovered disturbing new details from interviews with Robinson’s family, friends, and his transgender boyfriend, confirming that Robinson had grown more radicalized in his left-wing beliefs over the past few years.
Patel disclosed additional forensic evidence tying Robinson directly to the murder. DNA found on a towel used to wrap the murder weapon and on a screwdriver recovered from the rooftop sniper’s nest both matched the suspect. “I can report today that the DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody,” Patel said. He added that the bolt-action hunting rifle recovered near the scene is still undergoing lab testing, with results expected soon.
Despite refusing to cooperate with authorities, Robinson’s family has reportedly aided the investigation. “His family has collectively told investigators that he subscribed to left-wing ideology and even more so in these last couple of years,” Patel said.
Robinson remains in custody and is expected to be formally charged with murder.
