WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump finds himself back in the spotlight amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to convicted trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

On CNN’s 'The Source with Kaitlan Collins', Sky Roberts, brother of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who tragically took her own life in April, directly criticized Trump’s claim that Epstein “stole” Giuffre from him.

On Tuesday, July 29, Trump claimed that Epstein “took” Virginia from Mar-a-Lago, where she had been working as a 16-year-old locker room attendant during the summer of 2000.

During the interview, Kaitlan Collins questioned Sky Roberts about his sister, Virginia Giuffre’s, recruitment at just 16 years old while working at Mar-a-Lago. She also pointed to the surprising involvement of high-ranking Justice Department officials in the ongoing investigation into Ghislaine Maxwell.

Roberts responded with clear frustration and grief. “We were very surprised,” he said. "I think, you know, she was preyed upon by Ghislaine Maxwell as well as many other predators out there, but she was preyed upon at Mar-a-Lago, and we were very shocked and very surprised that they were giving her a voice and giving her a platform to essentially possibly make a deal, and you know, reality to that is that there’s so many survivors still out there that are affected by that, including my sister who’s not here to speak for herself."

When asked about the possibility of Trump granting Maxwell a pardon or cutting a deal, Roberts didn’t hold back. “She deserves to rot in prison where she belongs because of what she’s done to my sister and so many other women and it’s absolutely a pure sense of evil.”

He also rejected Trump’s claim that Epstein had “stolen” Giuffre. “She wasn’t stolen. She was preyed upon at his property, at President Trump’s property,” he emphasized. “Stolen seems very impersonal, it feels very much like an object, and these survivors are not objects. Women are not objects."

Roberts ended by questioning what Trump may have known at the time. “It certainly makes you kind of ask the question how much he knew during that time, right?”

Amanda Roberts, Virginia Giuffre’s sister-in-law, told CNN that Giuffre had described Maxwell as “viciously cruel” toward the young girls and deeply involved in their abuse. “She wasn’t just like a recruiter,” Roberts said. “She participated and viciously participated with these girls and abusing them. She just described her as this monster, you know, of a nightmare.”

On the same program, CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig criticized President Trump’s shifting narrative about his relationship with Epstein. Honig noted that Trump’s statements continue to contradict each other and argued that the inconsistencies are only getting "deeper by the day.”

Virginia Giuffre’s family questions whether Donald Trump was aware of Epstein’s crimes

Virginia Giuffre’s family expressed shock and concern after Trump claimed she had been “stolen” from Mar-a-Lago, raising fresh questions about what Trump may have known about Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities.

In a statement to The Atlantic, the family said, “It was shocking to hear President Trump invoke our sister and say that he was aware that Virginia had been 'stolen' from Mar-a-Lago.”

The family added, “It makes us ask if he was aware of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal actions, especially given his statement two years later that his good friend Jeffrey 'likes women on the younger side . . . no doubt about it.' We and the public are asking for answers; survivors deserve this.”

In response, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified on Wednesday, July 30, that Trump only mentioned Giuffre after a reporter brought her up. “He did not bring her up,” Leavitt stated. “ The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club for being a creep to his female employees.”

Still, Giuffre’s family emphasized that it was Ghislaine Maxwell who targeted and exploited their then 16-year-old sister while she worked at Mar-a-Lago in 2000, well before Trump and Epstein reportedly ended their friendship.
