WASHINGTON, DC: Former Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy jumped to Donald Trump and JD Vance's defense, blasting the latest attacks directed at them by Democrats.

The biotech entrepreneur took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, July 28, to write, "This whole 'they're weird' argument from the Democrats is dumb & juvenile. This is a presidential election, not a high school prom queen contest."

Vivek Ramaswamy deems Democrats' new line of attack on Donald Trump and JD Vance 'ironic'

Vivek Ramaswamy also called out the irony in the ongoing Democratic attack on the GOP duo, claiming, "It's also a tad ironic coming from the party that preaches 'diversity & inclusion.' Win on policy if you can, but cut the c**p please."

Vance, who Trump picked as his 2024 running mate, has been under scrutiny over current and past remarks, with Democrats branding him "weird" and "strange," according to Raw Story. The Ohio senator's infamous "childless cat ladies" comment sparked widespread condemnation over the last week.

In a resurfaced 2021 interview, the GOP VP candidate claimed the nation was run by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices they've made," singling out Vice President Kamala Harris and Democratic Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Moreover, Vance drew flak for joking that Democrats would label him "racist" for drinking Diet Mountain Dew during his first solo rally in Middletown, Ohio.

Minnesota Gov Tim Walz, a likely Harris VP pick, was among the first Democrats to tout the newest line of attack against the GOP ticket, and the Harris campaign has since incorporated the "weird" label on social media posts and press releases, as per Politico.

For instance, on Friday, July 26, Harris's campaign declared, "JD Vance is weird," in a press release on the GOP lawmaker's abortion stance.

One wrote, "Loser says what?" and another said, "Well, and you're the King of Weird, Vivek."

"Now maga wants to pretend they are the adults in the room. The GOP has been a clown show for years. The RNC convention looked like a full blown circus. You reap what you sow MAGA," remarked a person.

"You guys are weird @VivekGRamaswamy. But don't care about that. I care about your allegiance to a damaged and demented con and the threat that you all pose to Democracy. Weird or not, you will be defeated in this election. Stop whining and go away," commented someone else.

"Only a super weird guy would say this," remarked an individual, with one more saying, "Your party - you, personally, especially - is defined by being dumb and juvenile. You have no policy and you have nothing but financial luck. Take a little of your not-really-earned money and buy a mirror, Weirdo."

"Have you ever considered not being such a massive weirdo?" asked another person and a netizen added, "Not only are you weird, you are one of the biggest liars in this MAGA party. Weirdo. Cry less."
