NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Comedian Wanda Sykes made eyebrow-raising remarks on 'The View' after openly cheering for snakes to bite Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr during a discussion about his now-viral video.

Sykes, in the episode that aired Thursday, May 28, repeatedly said she was hoping the snakes would bite RFK while the studio audience erupted into laughter and applause, with members of the panel also joining in during the exchange.

Sykes ridicules RFK Jr in viral ‘snakes’ remark

The moment unfolded as the panel discussed footage showing Kennedy grabbing two live snakes with his bare hands at a beachfront property owned by Dr Mehmet Oz.

Sykes appeared stunned by the way Kennedy handled the reptiles. “Who grabs snakes like that?” she said.

She then mocked the scene by comparing Kennedy’s handling of the animals to “taking wet clothes out the washing machine” as the hosts laughed around her. But the segment quickly escalated further.

“You know, I hate snakes. I’m terrified of snakes,” Sykes continued. “But I was rooting for them damn snakes!”

The audience immediately burst into applause and laughter. “Get him snakes! Get him!” she shouted.

“Get him again! Let’s go snakes! Team snakes!” The panel continued laughing as Sykes repeatedly joked about wanting the snakes to bite Kennedy during the discussion.

RFK Jr’s bizarre snake encounter

The discussion centered around a video Kennedy shared earlier this week showing himself attempting to remove two black racer snakes from a patio while his wife, Cheryl Hines, begged him to stop.

Kennedy posted the clip online with the caption: “Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz’s patio.”

The footage showed Hines repeatedly shouting, “Bobby, why?” as Kennedy grabbed the twisting snakes with his hands.

At one point, one of the reptiles appeared to bite his finger. “Oh my God,” Hines exclaimed.

“You’re nuts,” she told her husband while he continued smiling and holding the snakes up near the camera.

When someone off-camera asked whether the animals were biting him, Kennedy casually replied: “Yeah.”

The video rapidly spread online and added yet another chapter to Kennedy’s long-running reputation for bizarre encounters involving animals and wildlife.
