PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Donald Trump has announced the launch of his first officially authorized commemorative silver coin, aptly named "TRUMP COINS."

The coin priced at $100 is designed by Trump himself and is the latest addition to a series of Trump-branded products, including bibles, shoes, and trading cards.

Donald Trump's $100 coin launch

Donald Trump's announcement on Saturday morning, September 21, in a video posted on Truth Social accompanied a message reading, "Good morning everyone, I have something incredible to share today, as we are introducing the launch of our Official Trump Coins!"

The former president emphasized that this is "the ONLY OFFICIAL coin designed by me, and proudly minted here in the USA."

The commemorative silver coin, titled 'The President Donald J Trump First Edition Silver Medallion,' will be available for purchase starting on September 25, 2024.

According to the 78-year-old politician who called himself "a very beautiful guy" with "a very beautiful face," the coin will be exclusively sold through the website realtrumpcoins.com.

The one-ounce coin is crafted from .999% silver and features Trump’s profile on the obverse, along with an image of the White House on the reverse.

Donald Trump says new silver coins are 'not political'

According to the official website for the initiative, the Donald Trump coin is intended solely as a collectible item for individual enjoyment and not as an investment tool.

"The coins are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign," read the description.

Despite his frequent association with political controversy, the silver coin is being marketed purely as a collector’s item, with no connection to his political career or future aspirations.

The Republican presidential candidate’s latest venture into silver coins adds to a long list of products bearing his name, from trading cards to shoes.

Trump has successfully capitalized on his personal brand over the years, using it to generate significant revenue through various merchandise, according to The Express Tribune.

Internet mocks Donald Trump's silver coin launch

As Donald Trump announced the launch of his silver coin designed by himself, netizens mocked the former president's new merchandise.

One user on X wrote, "So shoes, Bible, NFT’s, crypto, and now coins. This is just embarrassing at this point," and another added, "So his entire presidency is merchandising himself? This nation is screwed!"

"What a dumb campaign," a netizen opined while someone remarked, "More grifting! Send in your hard earned savings, MAGA! Trump the fake billionaire grifter needs your cash!"

"Trump knows he's not going to win, so he's trying to raise as much money as possible," an individual commented. Another penned, "He's just being a businessman. He does not care about you and your vote."
