WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden's comment during the prisoner swap between the United States and Russia has gone viral.

On Thursday, August 1, he told reporters that they were “stuck” with him and added there was “no way out” of not having him as the head of the US. 

“You’re stuck with me as president for a while, kid. There’s no way out. Ok?” the 81-year-old president was seen moving towards the press, with wider eyes and a cheeky smile on his face.

He then stumbled over his words, mistakenly giving them the wrong time frame with how much time they had left to deal with him as commander-in-chief.

Recently, Joe Biden announced that he won’t be running for reelection and instead endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris

Biden will be in office for another 178 Days until the presidential inauguration. Talking about the numbers, there are 94 days until the 2024 presidential election will be held, reported the New York Post.

Several medical experts speculated that the president may have Parkinson’s disease or a related condition.

Biden and Harris were present at the event to receive the three hostages held in Russian prisons, namely journalists Evan Gershkovich and Alsu Kurmasheva, and former US Marine Paul Whelan, who landed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

Historic prisoner exchange between the US and Russia

The significant diplomatic event between the US and Russia occurred as part of the largest prisoner exchange between Washington, Moscow, and other countries since the Cold War.

The swap involved 24 prisoners across six countries, following months of negotiations led by Biden.

Sixteen individuals previously detained in Russia were exchanged for eight individuals held in the US, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, and Poland, per USA Today.

DNC Chair Jaime Harrison confirms Kamala Harris' presidential nomination for next election

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison announced Kamala Harris as the official nominee for the presidential race for Democrats, on Friday, August 2.

The results, however, are not yet official as the virtual voting process will close on Monday evening when Kamala Harris will accept the nomination.

Harris first announced the news during a video call on Friday, August 2.

"I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of the Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday," Harris said during a video call on Friday, August 2, according to NBC News.
