WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President Kamala Harris has found herself at the center of a controversy after a resurfaced video showed her cursing at her niece, Meena Harris, during a cooking lesson.

The short clip, originally shared on X (formerly Twitter), captures a candid moment in the kitchen that has sparked widespread debate.

In the video, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, 59, can be seen seasoning chicken while her niece Meena Harris quizzes her. "What is the process of this juice?" she asks. Harris responds with evident frustration, saying, "Oh come on honey, it's a baster." As the exchange continues, Meena presses her aunt for more information about the cooking process, to which Harris replies, "Caramelizing onions, Meena."

Then Meena jokingly demands, "Tell me more, tell me more." Visibly irritated, Harris snaps, "You need to f***ing learn how to cook instead of videotaping me. I'm trying to teach you, but you're more interested in being a video person."

The video ends with Harris taking out a perfectly browned chicken from the oven, to which Meena says, "Look at that." "

Get in my belly," the Vice President says before sharing a passionate kiss with her husband Doug Emhoff.

The video quickly gained traction online, prompting Meena to respond. "Why are you exposing me like this?" she posted on X. Despite some social media users mocking her cooking skills, Meena defended herself, stating, "I've learned a lot in four years."

Kamala Harris' cooking videos take center stage

This comes as Kamala Harris continues to gain attention for her cooking videos, which have become a key part of her presidential campaign. She went viral for sharing cooking tips and even has a 2019 video on how to season a turkey during a brief break between TV interviews.

She recommends using kosher salt, freshly ground pepper, and chopped thyme. "So do the salt and pepper all over, just like lather that baby up - on the outside, in the cavity," Harris instructs. "Mix that up with some thyme, you can also do some rosemary under the skin with some butter before you even cook it." Additionally, she advises basting the turkey with a mixture of white wine and butter.

In another popular video from her short-lived YouTube series titled 'Cooking With Kamala', Harris made masala dosa with actress Mindy Kaling, bonding over their shared South Indian heritage. The episode garnered over six and a half million views.

In the most popular episode, Harris prepared masala dosa with Kaling, who begins by joking, "I don't want to suffer the consequences of our future president not liking my Indian food," before the two connect over their shared South Indian heritage.

In another episode, Harris credited her love of cooking to her upbringing, recalling her mother saying, "Honey, you like to eat good food. You better learn how to cook."
