WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly made fun of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris for bringing Tim Walz along to her first media appearance, calling the governor of Minnesota her "big white blankie."

“You don’t get to do it with your binky right next to you, your big white blankie for every interview,” the former Fox and NBC anchor said on her SiriusXM podcast 'The Megyn Kelly Show' on Wednesday, August 28. Harris eventually consented to a pre-recorded sit-down that will air on CNN at 9 pm ET on Thursday, August 29, five weeks after Joe Biden's decision to not run for reelection.

“Here we have it, the ’emotional support governor’ will sit down with our potential next commander-in-chief for the first interview in five weeks since earth-shattering developments have happened in the Democratic race, and with respect to the White House, who’s ruling the country, how she became the nominee, and what she actually has in store for us,” Kelly said, according to New York Post

She added, “He happens to be white. He is her big white blankie, which she needs in order to talk to the press.”

Megyn Kelly wondered whether Tim Walz would 'jump in to save' Kamala Harris during the interview

Megyn Kelly questioned Tim Walz's ability to "jump in to save her" in the CNN interview with Dana Bash.

“If I were running for president, and I had a vice president … man or woman sitting next to me, and if I were asked a tough question, and my VP jumped in to save me, I would say, ‘Excuse me, that one was to me,’ and I would continue my answer,” Kelly said.

She pondered whether Walz will “have the nerve” to “actually step in because he knows that that will undermine her, and yet that is his purpose for being there.”

“And also, even if she doesn’t use the big white blankie in that way, it’s half the questions. She’s sitting down with Dana Bash, but she only has to do for half the allotted time, because he’ll get the rest,” according to Kelly.

Megyn Kelly predicted Kamala Harris-Tim Walz interview will not have 'some massive fall-down moment'

Megyn Kelly projected that because Dana Bash is "definitely more sympathetic to the Democrats," the Harris-Walz interview won't have "some massive fall-down moment." "Bash doesn’t want to torch her career in this sit-down," she said.

Kelly claimed that Harris' past resistance to participating in an interview "doesn't inspire confidence in me as a woman." “Everyone’s supposed to be celebrating that she could be our first female president, and she can’t even do a sit-down interview on her own,” she said, according to the outlet. “I got news for you, Madam Harris, that’s not how the presidency is supposed to work,” she added.

Internet sides with Megyn Kelly, slams Kamala Harris before her interview with CNN

Netizens backed Megyn Kelly as they lashed out at Kamala Harris for allegedly appearing on a 'taped and edited' interview with CNN. One X user tweeted, "It’s not a real interview. It’s taped and edited. Not live. She won’t say anything real. It will be general rah rah and no specific."

Another added, "Strong "Black" woman needs her overseer with her. Or, she needs to have her communist pig handler with her so he can tackle the questions that will send her into her cackling and word salads." "That's literally why she's bringing him though lol. It's not "tearing into" her. It's just an observation," remarked one.

"This will be a waist of time. Not even watching this fake interview. Let me know when she does a real interview," said someone else.
