Oprah Winfrey explained the reason for hosting the event over her social media account, "What has inspired me this election season has been watching different groups of people gather to support Vice President Kamala Harris in her historic nomination for President of the United [States],” she captioned.

Oprah Winfrey's support for Kamala Harris gets slammed online

Internet called out Oprah Winfrey for endorsing the Democratic presidential candidate, and her decision to garner support from fellow Americans. Earlier, the famous host announced a live streaming rally for Kamala Harris.

A user questioned Winfrey on X, "Where has she been all this time? She could’ve spoke out against DT [Donald Trump] for how many years now. Why didn’t she?"

"Not sure if she is the win they believe. Her popularity has tanked lately. Even still I appreciate her standing up. I just hope it is a positive attachment," said another individual.

Another netizen speculated, "Because as the richest woman in America, none of Kamala's marxist policies will touch her and she knows it."

"Notice how all these dem politicians and their hollywood goons talk to their libtard audiences like they’re talking to toddlers?… yeah, it’s because that’s the level of comprehension their average voter has. 🤦‍♀️," observed one.

Another remarked, "Through hard work & perseverance in this capitalist society, you've become incredibly rich & well known. Give all Americans that opportunity by not supporting Kamala's for left, Socialist policies."
