NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Leo Terrell has once more stepped up to defend former President Donald Trump, describing his address at the Libertarian Party National Convention on the evening of May 25 as "the smartest speech of the campaign season!" in a post on social media.

Terrell's post shared on X elaborated, stating, "He gave the crowd undisputed facts as to why he is the best candidate to Make America Great Again! Grade A+."

Trump loudly booed at the Libertarian convention

The American attorney's comments came after Donald Trump faced a hostile reception at the Libertarian Party National Convention, where he was met with persistent boos and jeers from the audience.

As Trump took the stage, a notable portion of the audience greeted him with jeers, while a smaller faction of supporters, recognizable by their "Make America Great" hats, cheered enthusiastically, chanting "USA USA!"

NPR noted that this unusual blend of reactions marked a rare instance where Trump directly faced open criticism from the audience, a situation uncommon for someone accustomed to addressing rallies filled with adoring supporters.

The invitation extended to Trump to address the convention has stirred controversy within the Libertarian Party, renowned for its emphasis on limited government and individual liberties. Some members have voiced skepticism towards his presence, reflecting historical wariness towards Trump's presidency.

Trump attempted to diffuse the tension by referencing his four criminal indictments and humorously stating, "If I wasn't a Libertarian before, I sure as hell am a Libertarian now."

Trump then endeavored to commend the Libertarians in attendance, hailing them as "fierce champions of freedom."

He also lambasted President Joe Biden, portraying him as a "tyrant" and branding him as the "worst President in the history of the United States." This comment provoked a strong reaction from the audience, with some attendees shouting back, "That's you."

Amid the ongoing exchange of insults, Trump eventually retorted, stating, "You don't want to win," insinuating that some Libertarians may be satisfied with garnering a small percentage of the vote every four years, rather than actively striving for victory.

Leo Terrell has a track record of staunchly supporting Trump, even going so far as to assert on 'America's Newsroom' that Black Americans saw economic growth during Trump's presidency.

He suggests that this economic progress is fueling their growing dissatisfaction with President Biden's performance, as per Fox News
