NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump shared a video on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday, May 23, depicting the controversial "Trump or Death" flag being waved.

As per MTN, the flag has been seen outside the Manhattan Criminal Court during the hush money trial of the presumed GOP nominee, presided over by Judge Juan Merchan.

Creation of the 'Trump or Death' flag

The notorious flag was purportedly crafted by a Trump flag vendor renowned for his pro-Trump banner drop stunts at sports stadiums. Trump himself has recently lauded the display of his mugshot during the national anthem at a Yankees game.

The message on the flag implies that followers of the controversial business tycoon are willing to embrace death for their leader or take action that would result in the loss of their lives to ensure that Trump comes to power in the United States once again.

Trump followers who participated in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, could be considered as having a "Trump or Death" mindset, stated MTN.

The publication asserted that the extreme rhetoric contributed to the death of Ashli Babbitt on the day of the Capitol riot. Despite the potential danger it poses to the American people, the former president has not been deterred from reposting such violent rhetoric to date.

Internet slams Donald Trump over the controversial flag

Responding to the news on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), a user wrote, "Sounds like a threat."

"Accepting all MAGAts applications for the latter when Trump loses in November. Just makes the process easier so I don't have to track you down," jibed another.

"It’s getting close to the time where someone has to decide that he’s simply too dangerous, because he’s ramping up the rhetoric and what comes from that is always ugly. He understands he’s gonna lose, so he wants to make us pay for it," commented a user. [sic]

"Definitely not a cult mentality," sarcastically noted a user.

"Donald Trump is willing to have you focus on ANYTHING other than the felony conviction he is about to get," stated a user.
