ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA: On Wednesday, July 10, Rep Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) visited the Keystone State for the third time this year to energize grassroots supporters of former President Donald Trump with a straightforward message.

Hunt, quoting Sen John Kennedy (R-La), drew laughter from a lively crowd at Lehigh Valley Tea Party headquarters with his remark, "The Biden administration…sucks."

As part of the Republican Party’s effort to reach African-American voters, which he is spearheading, Rep Wesley Hunt hosted two events in Philadelphia last month before traveling to Allentown, a city with suburbs known for often deciding statewide elections.

According to the New York Post, the LVTP selected the Texas GOP congressman as the monthly keynote speaker, and he fully recognizes Pennsylvania's significance to the party heading into the upcoming general election.

“If President Trump wins Pennsylvania, the election is over,” Hunt told the aforementioned outlet. “There’s these states that are really important, but none more important than the Keystone State.”

What did Wesley Hunt say during his address to conservatives in Pennsylvania?

Rep Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) spoke about his military background at length during his 16-minute speech, highlighting many of his family members’ attendance at West Point as well as the presence of Civil War-era cannons buried at the academy to remind cadets of the impact of Americans killing each other.

The MAGA-aligned lawmaker likened the Democrats’ political tactics to that level of division, expressing the need to counteract such actions, saying, “Unfortunately, the left has dug these cannons up, and they’re aiming them at you. They’re aiming them at President Trump.”

“It’s incumbent upon everyone in this room to rip those cannons out of their hands and put them right back in the ground where they belong, forever,” he added.

Hunt criticized President Joe Biden, alleging that his so-called “big boy” press conference at the NATO Summit in Washington served as a “campaign speech” rather than prioritizing America’s interests abroad.

Hunt also discussed the impact of illegal immigration, claiming that it has transformed Pennsylvania into a “border state” on Biden’s watch.

In addressing his Democratic colleagues, Rep. Wesley Hunt urged them in the wake of President Biden’s dismal debate outing two weeks ago, “Stop lying to people. Stop being a coward.”

Those who recognize the degree of the president's continuous decline but have not asked for him to step down are being "intellectually dishonest," Hunt told the aforementioned outlet.

Furthermore, he commented on Vice President Kamala Harris's low approval ratings, contrasting her unfavorably with former Vice President Dick Cheney by humorously referencing an infamous incident involving Cheney.

“Kamala Harris has the worst approval rating of any vice president in the history of this country,” Hunt remarked.

“And let’s keep in mind something: When Dick Cheney was vice president, he shot somebody! Do you know how hard you have to work to be worse than that?” he quipped.

(Of course, the shooting was an accident on then-VP Dick Cheney's part).

Hunt concluded his speech to an audience at LVTP headquarters with a standing ovation, with attendees expressing admiration for his commitment, including his decision to take an Amtrak from Washington, DC, to Philadelphia and an Uber from Philly to Allentown after a full day of work in the House of Representatives.

The congressman also fielded questions on topics such as illegal immigration and election integrity.
