WASHINGTON, DC: The White House updated its official LinkedIn profile picture to President Donald Trump, sparking backlash from liberals and former Biden administration staffers who now see Trump’s image displayed on their own LinkedIn profiles.

The platform automatically syncs company profile photos with employees who list the organization, meaning anyone who worked at the White House during the Biden years now has Trump’s face beside their credentials.

LinkedIn update affects past officials, including Barack Obama

The profile picture swap even impacted prominent figures such as former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris’ former campaign manager, whose pages now display Trump’s image.

Right-wing commentator Benny Johnson tweeted on X, "Guys. The White House is taking over LinkedIn. If you needed more proof that we live in the best timeline, here it is. They changed their profile to Trump’s portrait. The best part? It shows up on Obama’s profile. And they’re posting Lib nightmare fuel. Into my veins."

White House spokesperson Steven Cheung addressed the change with a sharp response: “That's the point, dummy.”

Supporters of the update, however, applauded the move as a savvy branding decision, praising it as a way to assert Trump’s leadership image across professional networks.
