WASHINGTON, DC: Rapper Nicki Minaj has received a playful endorsement for a possible White House role after Communications Director Steven Cheung filmed her answering questions about President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One on Sunday, October 25.

Cheung shared the exchange on X, joking that the rapper could become the next White House press secretary.

The video came as Minaj accompanied Trump to Michigan for a rally ahead of the November midterm elections.

Cheung sat across from Minaj aboard Air Force One and asked her three questions about the economy, Trump's campaign schedule and polling figures.

The rapper used each answer to defend the president's leadership and urge Americans to support his political agenda.

Asked about the economy, Minaj pointed to Trump's background in business as evidence of his ability to manage the country.

“Well, it’s exploding because we have a president who understands economics,” she said.

She argued that Trump's experience rebuilding his own finances made him capable of handling the nation's economic affairs.

Minaj also portrayed him as a leader who would stand firm against foreign governments, saying the United States would not have to bow to other countries under his leadership.

Cheung next asked whether anyone worked harder than Trump on the campaign trail as the president traveled across the country to support Republican candidates.

“Absolutely not,” Minaj replied.

She claimed Trump rises at 4 am and works harder than people half his age, despite having already won "three elections."

She added that he could spend the remainder of his presidency relaxing but instead continued campaigning to help fellow Republicans succeed.

“And what does that say about his character? He knows that he would be fine. He could kick his feet up and just chill out for the rest of his presidency. But no, he’s paying it forward, he’s thinking about the other Republicans that have to win during these elections, and so that tells me he’s a great guy,” she said.

For his final question, Cheung asked what Minaj wanted to tell Americans about what he called “fake news polls.”

“Let’s ask Hillary Clinton how fake the fake polls are. We don’t pay those polls any mind,” she responded, urging Trump's supporters not to be discouraged from voting.

Cheung subsequently shared the video on X with the caption: “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!”

Nicki Minaj deepens support for Trump

Minaj's appearance follows months of increasingly public support for Trump and his administration.

In January, she attended a Treasury Department event promoting the president's proposed investment accounts for children, describing herself as his “No. 1 fan” and saying criticism would motivate her to support him even more.

She has also appeared at conservative gatherings, including Turning Point USA's 'AmericaFest', where she praised Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

In September, she told Fox News that she was honored to work with the administration and said that the president was someone she could relate to.
