White House puts up lawn signs of 100 ‘illegal aliens’ arrested during first 100 days of Trump presidency

WASHINGTON, DC: The White House put up lawn pickets with posters of 100 "illegal immigrant criminals" who have been apprehended in the first 100 days of the second presidency of Donald Trump, on Monday, April 28, reported Fox News.

The posters feature photographs of the detainees with the words "arrested" written on top, and "illegal alien", followed by the crime they are accused of at the bottom.



 

Sharing a video of the posters on the social media platform X, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote, "Good Morning from The White House!"

In a separate post, the White House noted, "We will hunt you down. You will face justice. You will be deported — and you will never set foot on American soil again. Oh, and your mugshot may just end up on a yard sign at the White House."



 

White House releases list of illegal immigrants featured on yard signs

The White House has also released a list of all 100 illegal immigrants featured on the yard signs, complete with photographs and a brief summary of their individual alleged criminal records.

Jose Enrique Pol Troncoso, 31, features on the list as a Dominican national arrested earlier this month by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Miami. He has reportedly been convicted of fentanyl possession and carrying a concealed weapon, while his criminal history includes possession of controlled substances.

Others on the list include Dominican national Virginia Basora Gonzalez and Mexican national Francisco Schraidt-Rodriguez, for fentanyl trafficking, Honduran national Kevin Adith Torres-Velasquez for trafficking of controlled substances, and Mexican national Giovanni Rafael Falcon Gomez, Bhutanian national Birkha Sarki, Honduran national Hector Rolando Valle, Guatemalan national Norberto Che Xol, for misconduct.

The White House wants to highlight its aggressive immigration enforcement measures to mark Trump's 100 days as president. Trump completes 100 days on Tuesday, April 29.

However, the administration has faced criticism over arrests and deportations, particularly deportation of immigrants suspected of being gang members to an El Salvador prison.

Netizens reacting to the White House putting up a display of the ICE arrests were divided in their opinion on the social media platform X. The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"This is a great deterrent to remind these criminals that they will be deported," stated another.



 

"Excellent!!! Job well done. Protect our communities," said one.



 

"They need to send a clear signal that America's doors are no longer open to foreign criminals. This administration is literally saving America by taking the necessary steps to clean up our streets. People should be grateful," remarked an individual.



 

But another pointed out, "Innocent until proven guilty! Remember the law !!!"



 

"This is just incredibly immature," chided one user.



 

"Sheesh did they hire a 14 year old kid to write these posts? Sheesh this sounds unprofessional," shared yet another.
