WASHINGTON, DC: The White House has jumped into the viral social media debate, joining the online roasting of Democratic House members over their viral "choose your fighter" video.

The video, posted by influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo to her 5.6 million TikTok followers on Wednesday, March 5, has been met with widespread mockery across the internet, including from the Donald Trump administration's social media team.

The video, which follows a popular trend on TikTok featuring video game-inspired "choose your character" clips, was shared by Democratic members of Congress, including Reps Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Katherine Clark (D-Mass), Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), Judy Chu (D-Calif), Lauren Underwood (D-Ill), and Susie Lee (D-Nev).

The members showed off their "fighting skills" in a montage set to the character selection music from the game Super Smash Bros, with each member’s trivia appearing on a screen next to their video game avatar, The Hill reported.

The video begins with "CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER" written across the screen, followed by boxing gloves and American flag emojis. Each Congress member was showcased with their "fighting skills" and amusing facts, such as Ocasio-Cortez being a "Trekkie" (Star Trek fan) and Clark being "not into hair dye."

Crockett’s trivia read, "Not a morning person," which added to the lighthearted nature of the video. Despite its playful tone, the video quickly became the target of online mockery.

In retaliation, the White House took to their social media channels to post their own version of the "choose your fighter" video, replacing the Democratic Congress members with President Trump and his cabinet.

The video, set to the same Super Smash Bros character selection theme, showcased the strength and unity of the Trump administration, concluding with the caption, "Hey @HouseDemocrats, we fixed this for you!"

The text on the video, which showcased moments of Trump, Melania Trump, JD Vance, and other Republicans, read, "AMERICA CHOSE ITS FIGHTERS LAST NOVEMBER."
