He further explained, "I will be writing in Ron Paul. Unfortunately, Donald Trump had bad advisers making him bad on the second amendment. And that is issue if you cannot be completely uncompromising on the second amendment, I will not vote for you and I will write somebody else in."

"We need champions for the second amendment or our rights will be eaten away and eroded each day. I support my decision and I have no take backs," Rittenhouse concluded.

"You must stand by your principles," he captioned the clip.

Donald Trump once dubbed Kyle Rittenhouse as 'nice young man'

In 2021, Kyle Rittenhouse met with Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago club. Following their meeting, Trump referred to Rittenhouse as a "nice young man."

In an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Trump reportedly said that Rittenhouse is "really a nice young man" and that he "got to know him a little bit," according to NBC.

"Kyle I got to know him a little bit. He called," Trump said adding that Rittenhouse was his fan, "He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan."

He went on to say, "He was a fan, unlike the other guy."

The eldest son of the former president, Donald Trump Jr also shared the photo on Twitter, remarking with the acronym 'GOATs', which stands for 'Greatest Of All Time'.

Internet ridicules Kyle Rittenhouse

As soon as Rittenhouse's statement about Trump went viral on social media, former president's fans came forward to criticize outreach director for Texas Gun Rights.

A supported of Trump defended him saying, "You're wrong, Kyle. President Trump has always fought to protect our Second Amendment rights. You do whatever. All i ask is, don't you ever ask for my support again. Best of luck!"

Another user added, "I wasn’t aware that you enjoy losing, Kyle. Weird."

The third commentator wrote sharing screenshot of Rittenhouse's old tweet, "Trump and MAGA had your back, but now you don’t have his"

"You’re ridiculous man. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Kamala Harris, who will take away your guns for real," one wrote.

A person claimed, "Young and dumb, still. There is only Trump, or you are throwing your vote away, kid I know it sucks, but that is the truth"

Other chimed in, "What an idiot! Good bye , Kyle!"
