NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly took to social media to voice her disapproval after transgender golfer Hailey Davidson won the NXXT Women's Classic Tournament in Florida.

Davidson, a 30-year-old Scottish native residing in the state, took the lead after being three shots behind with two holes to go before forcing a playoff following her play on the 18th hole, according to a celebratory post on her Instagram.

The win has improved her chances of making it to the LPGA tour. She now sits at the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 1320 and a lead of 150 points over Maria Bohorquez, who is in second place, as per the New York Post.

Epson Tour's website describes NXXT Golf as a professional golf tour focused on "elevating women's golf" with a mission to "prepare the world’s best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour."

Megyn Kelly calls pronouns a 'gateway drug' after Hailey Davidson won the NXXT Women's Classic Tournament

In her January 19 post on X (formerly Twitter), Kelly unabashedly denied Davidson's identity and preferred pronoun and wrote, "A man just won the women’s golf tournament."

She continued, "Also the correct pronoun is HE. He won. Not she. This is a great example of how using 'preferred' pronouns obfuscates the offense. If a 'she' had won there’d be no problem."

A long-time advocate for the exclusion of trans athletes from women's sports, the former Fox News host concluded, "PRONOUNS ARE A GATEWAY DRUG to a very sick ideology."

Internet agrees with Megyn Kelly's remarks regarding Hailey Davidson winning the NXXT Women's Classic Tournament

Kelly's X (formerly Twitter) post resonated with several of her followers, who showed support with their comments.

One wrote, "Women just aren’t doing enough about stopping it. There are a few voices/fighters out there, the streets should be flooded with women protesting this c**p."

"Shame on the women who agreed to participate in this ridiculous charade of nonsense," expressed another.

A person opined, "This will stop when women refuse to compete," and another added, "He/she should be removed from the tour. If not, womens golf is dead. Why do liberals hate women so much?"

An individual questioned, "Why don't they just create a separate 'Trans' category?!?"
