WASHINGTON, DC: Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy predicted Ron DeSantis would join Nikki Haley's ticket as Vice President in the 2024 election.

Followed by Chris Christie dropping from the presidential race, the Indian-origin White House hopeful made a list of forecasts about the upcoming developments in the 2024 presidential race.

In a video message posted on X on January 10, Ramaswamy claimed that the presidential bid would narrow down into a two-horse race between Donald Trump and a "puppet" who can be controlled.

Arguing the "puppet" would not be a Democrat but Haley, he said, "You're actually going to see Ron DeSantis join Nikki Haley's ticket. He's gonna be her VP."

Ahead of the Iowa caucus on January 15, the Florida Governor and the former South Carolina Governor are in a neck-to-neck competition for second place per opinion polls by FiveThirtyEight, with Trump as the front-runner.

Vivek Ramaswamy claims Ron DeSantis has no choice

The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur said the system would "stop at nothing" to prevent the former president from contending in the election.

Stating the possibility of Trump's removal from the race as "disgusting," Ramaswamy added that DeSantis and Haley also wanted the same, pointing out their refusal to take a stand against the front runner's disqualification from the Colorado and Maine ballot.

Predicting the plot, he continued, "Ron DeSantis may not know this, but that's what his donors are gonna make him do."

"Ron DeSantis will become Nikki's VP whether or not Ron knows. It's not really his choice. He's not the one in charge of that decision."

The presidential hopeful also warned the voters should not fall into the trap and that the "system" would never let Trump "get anywhere near the White House."

"Our America first agenda cannot end our movement cannot end with Donald Trump when they take him out from contention," he stated.

Internet mocks Vivek Ramaswamy

Netizens sneered at Ramaswamy for making a "stupid prediction" despite DeSantis denying the possibility of ever becoming Haley's VP.

One user remarked, "This is such a stupid prediction. Ron has unequivocally said he will not join with Trump or Haley. Ron understands that he is much more effective at governing Florida than taking a VP spot. You, however, are running for Trump."

Another user wrote, "DeSantis and Haley are not joining forces, Vivek. You sound desperate."

"DeSantis would never join forces with Haley, only Trump will. Stop being a shameless liar," said a user.

Another reaction read, "Vivek is a pathological liar. DeSantis already said he'd never join forces with Nikki Haley. The only one that would is Trump. Sit down."

"Vivek puts all modern politicians to shame," stated one user, while another questioned, "Not even close. Are you projecting again?"

One response read, "This is dishonest Vivek. You know Ron DeSantis would never join with Nikki Haley. Low blow. Win with integrity or get out."

"The delusions of Vivek Ramaswamy continue," wrote one user.
