'Your childlike curiosity': Bill Clinton praised Epstein in birthday book letter, files reveal

WASHINGTON, DC: The House Oversight Committee released another new batch of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, including a surprising handwritten message from former President Bill Clinton.
The GOP-controlled panel led the unexpected document release just hours after the disgraced financier's estate handed over materials in response to a congressional subpoena. Among the newly released documents, investigators found what appears to be Epstein’s infamous “birthday book,” which Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly compiled for his 50th birthday.
What did Bill Clinton write in his alleged birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein?
The birthday album for Jeffrey Epstein, reportedly compiled in 2003, included signatures from several of his “friends,” among them former President Bill Clinton, according to a copy released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee on Monday, September 8.
A photo of Clinton’s birthday note is now going viral, reading, "Happy 50th — It’s heartening, isn’t it, to have lived so long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventure and work, and still to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference, and the circle of friends. Bill Clinton."
Epstein and Clinton maintained a cordial relationship, with the former president reportedly flying on the financier's plane multiple times.

The recently released "birthday book" also features a heartfelt letter from Epstein’s mother, Pauline Stolofsky Epstein. She wrote that since Maxwell asked her to contribute, she had been “very busy reminiscing” about her son.
In her letter, Stolofsky praised Epstein as a “good son” from the very beginning and expressed pride in his accomplishments. She shared cherished memories from his childhood through young adulthood, recalling how Epstein refused to sleep unless she read him a story from Grandma’s Golden Book, which cost 25 cents.

She also mentioned advocating for his teachers to help improve his handwriting during PTA meetings. Stolofsky highlighted Epstein’s feature as Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Bachelor of the Month” at age 21, a title she said he still holds.
The letter also touched on “nachus,” a Yiddish term for joy, in reference to Epstein’s late father. Stolofsky expressed sorrow that her husband couldn’t share in the joy over Epstein’s achievements, adding, “He would have been overjoyed reading the article about you in the New York Magazine."
Bill Clinton issued clarification related to ties with Jeffrey Epstein in 2019

In 2019, Bill Clinton’s office issued a clarification stating that the former president was unaware of the "terrible crimes" to which Jeffrey Epstein later pleaded guilty.
According to the statement, Clinton took four trips aboard Epstein’s airplane between 2002 and 2003, traveling to Europe, Asia, and Africa, with stops related to Clinton Foundation work.
The office confirmed that Clinton met Epstein only once, in Epstein’s Harlem office in 2002, and briefly visited Epstein’s New York apartment, accompanied by a staff member and his security detail.
The statement emphasized that Clinton has not spoken to Epstein in over a decade and has never visited Epstein’s private island, Little St James, his New Mexico ranch, or his Florida residence.
Since the release of Clinton’s alleged birthday note to Epstein, no further clarifications have emerged.
Internet reacts to Bill Clinton's alleged birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein
As Bill Clinton’s alleged birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein went viral online, many people reacted strongly, reigniting speculation about the former president’s ties to the disgraced financier.
One user wrote, "Great - let's get all the evidence out there, regardless of political party, and let the chips fall where they may."
An enraged user expressed, "This is not a political issue. It has impacted the lives of real people. The list should be revealed, offenders should be punished, and steps should be taken to heal America. This is not acceptable. If it declares Presidents, Princes, and other big people as culprits, then so be it. This is not a hoax."
A user shared, "Neither Clinton or Trump has been accused of any wrongdoing. Why don't people just let it go."
One person joked, "We went from Trump didn't write it to Clinton's in there too, real fast! 🤣" One person warned, "So as we knew, both Trump and Clinton wrote notes in the birthday book. Keep at it. This isn't going away. Keep digging. This shouldn't be partisan." One commenter said, "This is hilarious. Both political parties want the other persons political figures somehow mentioned more than their own. 😏"
