LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When it comes to fashion, Zendaya rarely misses an opportunity to make a statement. This Halloween, she turned heads by paying tribute to none other than Halle Berry, recreating the actress’s iconic yellow outfit from the 2000 premiere of 'X-Men.'

The throwback look brought a memorable red carpet moment back to life, and Berry herself appeared to approve of the recreation.

Although the 'Spider-Man' actress did not share the pictures herself, that did not stop the look from going viral.

Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, shared pictures and videos of her 2026 Halloween look on Instagram on October 31.

He also posted side-by-side pictures of Zendaya and Berry wearing the outfit, highlighting how closely the 'Odyssey' actress had recreated the original look.

Roach thanked the Lanvin team for lending the vintage ensemble. The outfit featured a yellow, brown and white geometric-print string bikini top paired with matching low-rise, flared trousers.

Zendaya completed the look with pointed-toe heels and tinted sunglasses. Her short pixie haircut, which she debuted earlier this year, added to the resemblance to Berry’s hairstyle from that era.

Berry also appeared to approve of the tribute, responding to Roach’s Instagram post with red heart emojis.

Zendaya pays tribute to Halle Berry at 2026 Emmys

This was not the first time Zendaya had taken inspiration from Berry’s style. At the 2026 Emmy Awards in September, she wore a sheer, jewel-encrusted Prada gown that drew comparisons to Berry’s look at the 2002 premiere of 'Die Another Day.'

The gown featured intricate embellishments and a bold design that reminded people of Berry’s famous red carpet look. Zendaya’s pixie haircut also brought back memories of Berry’s signature short hairstyle.

Roach captioned the post, "Zendaya channeling Halle Berry wearing @lanvin Fall 2000 Thank you @petercopping and @aliix_long Halle styled by the legendary @phillipbloch."

Roach had previously confirmed that Berry’s look inspired Zendaya’s haircut, highlighting how the actress’s style had influenced Zendaya beyond a single outfit.

Her Halloween recreation was another nod to the Oscar-winning actress and a reminder of how iconic fashion moments continue to inspire new generations of stars.

Over the years, Zendaya has experimented with different styles, from glamorous red carpet gowns to bold and playful outfits.

She often adds her own touch to classic fashion moments rather than simply copying them.

Her recent tributes to Berry show how she draws inspiration from another star while still making each look feel uniquely her own.
