BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: A 37-year-old man from Pennsylvania lost his life after being stabbed outside a bar in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn notorious known as 'always crazy' on early Sunday, April 7. 

The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was allegedly attacked outside Catch 22 on Third Avenue around 2:50 am, according to police reports. Despite efforts by officers to rush the victim to NYU Langone Hospital with a torso wound, he succumbed to his injuries, authorities confirmed.

Investigatiors highlight chilling aftermath of fatal stabbing

As investigations continue, law enforcement has not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident. Surveillance footage from nearby cameras captured the victim on his hands and knees following the stabbing, with bystanders gradually gathering around him.

The scene was marked by a haunting image — a bloody handprint pressed into the concrete beside a pool of the victim's blood.

Friends of victim suggest motive in fatal stabbing

Friends of the victim, speaking with authorities outside the bar, hinted that the attack was “wasn’t random.” suggesting a potential motive behind the violence.

Neighbors have long voiced concerns about the bar's reputation for rowdiness, with one resident describing it as "always crazy" with frequent disturbances, as per New York Post.

Eyewitness describes chilling scene of victim's final moments

Moses Alhusaini, manager of M&S Minimarket across the street, recounted the grim sight of the victim lying motionless on the ground, surrounded by police officers. “The man was dead on the ground,” he claimed.

“The police were around him, and he was laying behind the car. It was dead silent. No one was saying anything. The man on the ground was making no sounds.” Calls to shut down the establishment reverberated throughout the community in the wake of the tragedy.

Another neighbor recalled the chaotic atmosphere outside the bar the night of the incident. “They were having some kind of private party there last night," a female neighbor claimed. “It was loud and crazy outside. I just took my daughter and ran by as fast as we could. A lot of people outside, it gets dangerous over there.”
