Man accused in teen abduction and Iowa slaying found dead with 13-year-old girl in home invasion tragedy

ALBION, WISCONSIN: Authorities reported on Thursday, April 11, that a 13-year-old girl and a man, both of whom had exchanged gunfire with police during a pursuit in Wisconsin, were discovered deceased. They are suspected to be linked to a killing that took place in Iowa.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office stated that Alexander C Grunke, a 38-year-old resident of Middleton, was found deceased on the night of Wednesday, April 10, following an altercation with sheriff's deputies at a residence in Albion.
Police found Alexander Grunke dead from an apparent suicide
As per a news release from the office, the girl was found deceased in a nearby wooded area due to an undisclosed cause. The release mentioned that her name would not be disclosed, according to AP News.
The release stated that during the pursuit that followed a slaying in Dubuque, Iowa, the man and the girl both fired shots at the pursuing officers while driving a car that had been deemed suspicious.
The car was disabled by road spikes, prompting the man and girl to flee into the Albion home, while the girl sought refuge in the woods. Grunke remained inside the house as police forcibly entered it and successfully evacuated a woman and her two children.
As per the sheriff's office, Grunke was found deceased from what seemed to be a suicide after gunfire emanated from inside the home.
As reported by the office, Grunke had previously left a 5-month-old baby at a residence in the nearby town of Dunn.
The child and the teenager were the children of an individual who was killed in Dubuque, Iowa. No additional information about the incident in Dubuque has been disclosed to the public.

A gunman fatally shot a security guard at a Florida martini bar, leading to a deadly exchange of gunfire with police. The incident unfolded following a bar altercation, which left seven people injured, including one officer.
The gunman, identified as 37-year-old Jamal Wayne Wood, was ultimately shot and killed by the security guard.
The incident took place in the CityPlace Doral area, causing residents to flee in panic. Six bystanders, comprising five men and one woman, sustained injuries, with two in critical condition and four in stable condition at local hospitals.
