Alyssa Farah Griffin sets the record straight on Trump's claim she sent him 'secret love letters'
WASHINGTON, DC: Alyssa Farah Griffin delivered a fiery rebuttal to Donald Trump's claim that she sent him "secret love letters" following her tenure as his White House aide during the Monday, October 28 episode of 'The View'.
Before joining the daytime talk show as a co-host in 2022, the 35-year-old served as the White House Director of Strategic Communications and as an Assistant to the President under Trump's presidency.
Since her departure, Griffin has firmly maintained that she does not wish to see Trump lead the nation for another four-year term, as per The Mirror US.
Alyssa Farah Griffin says unlike Donald Trump she doesn't write 'love letters to dictators'
Addressing the rumors, Alyssa Farah Griffin stated, "I usually don’t respond to him when he comes after me, it feels like punching down but he keeps lying about me and I do want to correct this. He keeps referring to I wrote him secret love letters of some sort. I don’t write love letters to dictators or aspiring dictators like Trump did to Kim Jong Un."
She went on to explain, "The only letter I ever wrote him was a public resignation letter that was directed toward the Trump administration speaking about my time."
"Otherwise, CNN fact-checks — he lied about my title and any other things. He’s clearly very focused on this show because we keep calling him out and we’re gonna keep doing it," added Griffin.
CNN fact-checked Trump on 32 false claims he made to Joe Rogan, including immigration, results of the 2020 election, McDonald's stint crowd size, and global warming, to name a few.
On Rogan's podcast, the GOP nominee incorrectly claimed that Griffin worked in his administration "like an assistant press secretary." He further said that upon leaving her role, she wrote him a "gorgeous letter," "the most beautiful letter," declaring him to be "the greatest president."
Donald Trump criticized 'The View' co-hosts on Joe Rogan's podcast
During his appearance on the 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast on Friday, Donald Trump had some harsh words to share for the ladies of 'The View'.
He alleged that the group once "loved him," but they have since turned their backs on him as the election approaches. In the podcast interview, he stated, "Some of these women, they’re so, they’re so stupid."
This follows Trump's previous appearance on the show for an interview in 2011 when he was hosting 'The Celebrity Apprentice'. Reflecting on that interview on Monday, Whoopi Goldberg commented, "This show has allowed all kinds of people to come on, people we agree with, people we don’t agree with."
She added, "I have not been a fan of this man’s, I don’t like how he talks to us, I don’t like how he talks to the nation. I [did] not really have much to say until he started running for president. [But] then [in 2011]…my face said everything I needed to say."
Internet reacts as Alyssa Farah Griffin refutes Donald Trump's claims
Alyssa Farah Griffin's comments against Donald Trump's claims quickly went viral on Facebook, and users began to share their thoughts on what was actually true.
One declared, "She probably did!!!" while another wrote, "I don’t know why Alyssa and Ana call themselves Republicans they are just like the rest of the moron democrats on the show. I thought 'The View' was supposed to have Republicans on to get a fair balance of views, well these two now talk like democrats, the show needs to get some real Republicans on."
"No one cares Alyssa!! You try so hard to make yourself relevant.... We all know you belong in the pool of republican losers! That's the only reason you got the job on the view!" remarked a person.
"No, but she writes these. Love letters to the Democrats. Alyssa, why don’t you and Ana stop pretending to become a Democrat then we don’t have to know which party you’re really for," expressed someone else.
On the other hand, a few even slammed Trump, with an individual writing, "There is something seriously wrong with this man!"
One more quipped, "He wish 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣."
