NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-host Ana Navarro claimed that Sen Marco Rubio would not be chosen as former President and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's running mate in the upcoming general election, during her appearance on the podcast, 'The View: Behind the Table' with producer Brian Teta on Monday, June 3.

According to Fox News, she claimed to know some secrets from Rubio's past that would be potentially embarrassing for the Republican, after she reprimanded him on the show the same day for comparing the New York hush money trial of Trump to the trials that took place in communist Cuba.

What did Ana Navarro say about Marco Rubio?

Speaking of the Senator's chances of being picked as Trump's VP candidate, Navarro said, "I don't think it's going to be Marco Rubio. Marco has embarrassed himself to such a point. I mean he's little in stature and little in principles."

She was later asked if Rubio could appear as a guest at 'The View' Hot Topics table one day, to which she replied, "Maybe if he thinks it helps his chances to get into a fight with me and the other women on ‘The View’ he would, but he knows I know where his skeletons are hidden. I've known him since we were kids."

Both Navarro and Marco spent much of their life growing up in Miami, Florida. The co-host did mention that she was generally interested in debates with guests as long as they come in "good faith."

Sitting with her co-hosts on Monday, Navarro had blasted Rubio for calling Trump's criminal trial in Manhattan "a quintessential show trial" during an interview, and claiming that while the trials in communist Cuba "led to executions", the one involving the presumptive GOP nominee was an effort by his political rivals to influence the general election.

Internet reacts to Ana Navarro's comments

"Is that what politics and media are all about- blackmail??" a user asked on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) while responding to Navarro's comments on the podcast.

"Hope he can sue her," wrote another.

"Is she threatening him?" asked a third.

"Oh I'm sure Rubio is just shaking with fear LOL," mocked a fourth user.

"She has them too and he can find out about her," warned a fifth about skeletons in the closet.
