WASHINGTON, DC: Ann Coulter didn't hold back during the vice-presidential debate on Tuesday, October 1, lavishing praise on JD Vance while casually musing about Donald Trump's mortality.

Within ten minutes of the CBS broadcast, the conservative pundit took to X, posting, "WOW, VANCE IS GOOD. Cool as a cucumber." But her most eyebrow-raising comment came when she asked, “What’s the life expectancy for a 78 YO man?”—a thinly veiled reference to the former president, who, if reelected in November, would be the oldest president inaugurated at 78 years and seven months.

Ann Coulter doubles down on JD Vance as future of GOP

As Donald Trump inches closer to his second potential presidency, comparisons to President Joe Biden—who took office at 78—are inevitable.

But Ann Coulter’s suggestion that time may not be on the twice impeached former president's side set the internet abuzz, especially as she followed up by retweeting a post predicting a “high probability [Vance] will be POTUS in our lifetimes.”

Her admiration for Vance continued to grow throughout the night, spiraling after moderators cut him off during an anti-immigration rant.

Further, Coulter lashed out at Democratic VP candidate Tim Walz, calling him a “bumbling fool” and even going so far as to propose, “Trump should agree to a second debate if he can send in Vance.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Coulter has taken aim at Trump’s age. When asked on X what GOP presidential nominee could do “to help us take America back,” She once quipped, “Maybe he could die?”

JD Vance's debate win overshadowed by Donald Trump's social media attacks

Though JD Vance briefly stumbled over sensitive issues like abortion, allowing Tim Walz to attack his stance on the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, polls suggest the Republican candidate narrowly edged out his opponent.

Moreover, Trump didn’t stay silent during Tuesday's showdown. He launched an insult-laden tirade on Truth Social, targeting the Minnesota Governor Walz with the nickname “Tampon Tim” while the debate unfolded.

Ann Coulter faces backlash after questioning Donald Trump's life expectancy

Ann Coulter's debate night commentary sparked a storm of reactions on social media after she pondered the life expectancy of 78-year-old Donald Trump while gushing over JD Vance's performance.

"Your last sentence is really pathetic," said a user.

"Not okay. Shame on you," tweeted a second.

"That 78 year old man picked Vance. Witch," added a third.

"Probably longer than yours if he gets reelected," read a tweet.

"Probably about the same as a 62-year-old who looks like she’s 80," stated a user.
