Antoine Gee Jr: Domino’s driver shot thrice and killed by 3 Milwaukee teens in scuffle for pizza
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Three 17-year-old Milwaukee teenagers are now facing charges for the alleged shooting and death of 33-year-old Domino’s delivery driver Antoine Gee Jr.
The tragic event unfolded during a scuffle over a pizza theft, involving suspects Armier McArthur, Keyshaun McNealy, and Damain Patrick on January 10.
What prompted the callous shooting?
Surveillance footage captured the moment Gee arrived to deliver the pizza at Sherman Boulevard and Congress Street around 10 pm. The video shows two of the teens engaging in a fight with Gee, resulting in three fatal gunshots being fired at him.
According to a witness, the 17-year-old suspects ordered a pizza with the intention to "snatch it." Gee's sister, Kashmer Toliver, expressed disbelief, stating, "All they had to do was just ask. He probably would have given him the pizza and paid for it himself," WSAZ reported.
What are the charges against the teen suspects?
The three teens are now charged with felony murder and could face up to 55 years in prison if convicted. Gee, described as a kind soul with dreams of becoming a pilot, tragically succumbed to his injuries on the scene. “He wanted to be a pilot, so he started that. He did fly a plane, had the biggest smile ever on the picture, and now, he’s flying high,” Toliver said.
Gee's family has set up a GoFundMe page to gather contributions for his funeral. "To the media he's just a pizza delivery man, but to his family he was the backbone. He was a truck driver, a landlord, a brother, a nephew, an investor," read the fundraiser.
Toliver recalled Gee's infectious smile. "That’s the biggest smile. He don’t even like to smile, so for him to smile at you? Oh, you’re just one of a kind," she said. Subsequently, Jerome Avery Sr, Gee’s uncle, lamented the senseless act, stating, "You took away a good one for nothing. When you took him, you didn’t just ruin his life, you ruined a community."
