Ex-Republican Rep Adam Kinzinger says SCOTUS' immunity ruling is 'really disappointing'
The Supreme Court has “stripped the guardrails of democracy,” former Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger of Illinois said in a post on X following Donald Trump's immunity decision.
"The only protection is to not elect a whiney, small, victim-ey, clown as president," he added to the post. He said the Supreme Court ruling was "really disappointing," on CNN.

The only protection is to not elect a whiney, small, victim-ey, clown as president.
“This is very frightening because all you have to see is Donald Trump’s claim that this is a complete exoneration of what we knew happened on January 6,” Kinzinger, who is also the senior CNN political commentator, said on the station.
The former representative was one of two Republican members on the House committee investigating the Capitol riot.
The committee finished its work in December 2022 and presented evidence suggesting the DOJ and the public could charge Trump with several crimes.
Last week, Kinzinger announced he is endorsing President Joe Biden for president.
