JACKSON, MICHIGAN: A 19-year-old Michigan teen was arrested after fatally shooting a 78-year-old mother of a daughter with special needs.

The mother, Nora Luna, was asleep on the couch at the time of the shooting.

Tragically, Luna was killed when the shooter, Arion Wagner, mistook her house for the house of the person he was seeking who had allegedly attacked his mother's residence earlier.

It became evident that it was a tragic mix-up when Wagner attempted to seek revenge, as per Law&Crime.

According to the Jackson Citizen Patriot, Wagner opened fire on the wrong house, and Nora Luna, who was asleep, was shot in the head and died.

Arion James Wagner is charged with murder and using a gun to cause death from a car. Wagner also was charged with domestic violence and assault with intent to do great bodily harm by strangulation after he allegedly choked his pregnant girlfriend, according to records.

What did Arion Wagner’s girlfriend testify?

At Tuesday’s preliminary hearing, Wagner's girlfriend said that he made her drive him to get prescription drugs and then to his mother's house. He got angry when he saw that someone had shot the house.

Prosecutors played phone conversations Wagner allegedly had in jail where someone informed him that the house of the shooter who had targeted his mother's house had red curtains.

Wagner then told his girlfriend to drive him to the house with red curtains and opened fire at the house killing Luna.

Prosecutors informed that neither Luna nor anybody living with her was connected to Wagner and had nothing to do with the shooting at his mother's house.

His girlfriend also testified that Wagner had allegedly hurt her.

She said that while she was pregnant, he had forced her to take her clothes off and lay on a bed with a pillow over her head while pointing a gun at her. He also put a gun in her mouth and said he would kill her. She later had a miscarriage.

Wagner's lawyer stated that pictures taken that day did not reveal any bruises on her body. Next week, the hearing will decide if there's enough proof for the case to go to a higher court.

GoFundMe had raised over $2K for Nora Luna’s daughter

A GoFundMe page was created for Nora Luna, who was tragically shot and killed by the 19-year-old Wagner.

Significantly, the currently inactive page managed to collect $2,870 to cover expenses such as clothing, food, cleaning of the crime scene, relocation, and care for Luna's daughter, Gracie, as well as funeral costs.

According to the GoFundMe page, Luna was deeply devoted to her special needs daughter, Gracie, who must now adjust to a new environment.

The page also mentioned, "This has been a very sad and trying time for the entire family."
