WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley Biden, was recently seen wearing a dress during the White House donor dinner which looked familiar to Kate Middleton's 2021 outfit at the 'No Time To Die' premiere.

According to Daily Mail, the tulle dress is part of a capsule collection that celebrates 60 years of James Bond and embodies 'Old Hollywood glamour' with structured shoulders, embellished crystals, and a dramatic, floor-length cape.

When Kate Middleton wore the gown at the Royal Albert Hall event three years ago, social media users praised her for her appearance. However, when Ashley Biden donned a similar outfit, people on social media were unimpressed with her re-wearing the now famous gold dress.

Notably, Middleton has worn many heavily-embellished creations from the designer over the years but has not repeated the specific gown in question, according to the outlet.

During the White House donor dinner, First Lady Jill Biden wore custom Oscar De La Renta. Her black and blue floor-length sequined gown was hand-embroidered with three-dimensional rosettes.

Ashley shared a series of photos on Instagram, including one of her wearing the embellished sequined tulle gown. She captioned the post, "Last International Trip as First Lady + First Daughter."

She added, "A whirlwind of a trip…filled with moments that I will cherish and remember forever. And the best part was I shared them all with my forever First Lady…Mama. The world feels chaotic but no where I feel safer or would rather be…than anywhere with my family."

Internet trolls Ashley Biden for her choice of attire

Several internet users trolled Ashley Biden as she was recently seen wearing a dress during the White House donor dinner which looked similar to Kate Middleton's 2021 outfit.

A user wrote on X, "Why on earth would you try to wear the most iconic dress (non-bridal) the Princess of Wales has ever worn. Catastrophic mistake." Another added, "That dress looked incredible on Catherine. She wears clothing beautifully. It does nothing for this young woman. Not a good look at all."

One said, "Ashley’s hair, makeup, and accessories are all wrong." Another mentioned, "You don’t pick one the PoW has worn. Nobody should do that."

A user also wrote, "This shows you how iconic the Princess of Wales is . The dress on this lady looks extremely average. On Catherine it’s glorious!" One commented, "Oh how embarrassing just to actually put that particular garment on. ewe."

A person also mentioned, "She looks utter ridiculous. That is way to much dress for someone as dull as her. It needs everything Catherine, the Princess of Wales has, height, radiance, elegance and class. Makes you wonder if someone paid her to wear the dress… why else would you do it to yourself?"
